I love the start of a new month even if I am starting this month with an 8 foot snowbank on my front lawn. That’s okay we are that much closer to spring and I love spring!
Each week I like to give you my previous week’s recipe highlight. The one recipe that tasted delicious, everyone enjoyed and make me look like a star. Just so you know, if you also made a great recipe during the week prior please by all means share that link in the comments section. It may go to spam but no worries I’ll see it and approve it eventually. I usually check my spam a couple of times a day.
So I have two favorite new recipes from last week. I just can’t pick one. You may have noticed I like myself a little teriyaki flavor so it didn’t come as a surprise to me that I loved both of these. The Hoison & Honey Pork Tenderloin (seriously I was moping up the leftover sauce with bread it was that good) and the Oriental Chicken Wraps. LOVED it and so did hubby which always makes me happy.
I need to leave you with one more thing before getting to my menu. Last week I spent a huge amount of time adding spaces to links that didn’t include them. I don’t want to be a nag but I’m asking you to pretty please try and remember spaces in the Mr. Linky NAME field when you add your name and notes. In other words, please don’t do this:
Laura@I’manorganizingjunkie(lotsofgreatlinksthatyoudon’twanttomiss!)
As you can see not only is that hard for anyone to read but it pushes the columns out in my sidebars which then really makes the links hard to read. Oh and one other thing since I’m on my soapbox anyway, if you are going to participate in MPM it is only courteous to include a link back to here within your post. When visiting participant sites this past week I was actually surprised at how many don’t do this. Thanks so much for your understanding.
Alrighty then, here’s what we’ll be eating this week. Can’t wait to see what you’re having.
Monday: Greek Pizzas
Tuesday: Mozzarella Mushroom Chicken served with perogies and broccoli
Wednesday: Zesty Corn Quesadillas with spinach salad
Thursday: Special Egg Salad served with tomato soup
Friday: Leftover buffet
Saturday: Mexican Pasta Bake
Simple Supper Sunday

I’m going to have to try your Hoison & Honey Pork Tenderloin. I love pork tenderloin and am always looking for new recipes for it. My favorite off my menu last week was the onion beef cup recipe. My family really loved them. Have a great week!
Michelle says
It all sounds delicious Laura 🙂 Have fun with your snowbank!
Homemaker Barbi says
I love the start of a new month too. It’s like a mini-new year’s on the average of every 30 days! Been driving my hubby crazy all day saying how excited I am to start March.
Have a wonderful week Laura, ladies!

Thanks for the welcome back, Laura. I appreciate it and have missed y’all! And hey, I got in on the early-ish side this time. 😉
Hollie says
Your Mexican Pasta bake looks good maybe I will try that next week!
Annie says
Mmmm, teriyaki is my friend too. I was planning on bbq pork in the slowcooker for Sunday, but I might pull a quick switch and do that honey/hoison recipe.
Thanks for hosting! Have a wonderful week.
Shawn says
I can’t hardly believe its March already! Time to start thinking about Spring!
Jumbleberry Jam says
Did I enter that right?
Laura says
You did, although one thing to keep in mind is it’s helpful to link directly to your MPM post for those who are looking for it later in the week.
Thanks for participating!!

This is actually my first time, of hopefully many, that I am joining in.
I am using my recipe blog to do this and will be posting lots of recipes during the week as I prepare the meals.
ps Looking forward to checking out your greek pizza recipe since I will be making pizzas on Friday with the kids 🙂
Jill says
Those Greek pizzas look wonderful. I have some leftover feta cheese in the fridge and I was wondering what to do with it. Maybe these!
Thanks for the recipes!
Jill

The zesty corn quesadillas sounds good – I love Mexican food, and it’s not so common here in Australia! Our favourite dinner last week was definately slow-cooked lamb shanks served over mashed potatoes with broccoli and carrot… But the leftovers were even better, cooked all day in the crockpot with extra broth, veges, tomatoes & tomato paste – made a really thick, rich soup!

Happy Monday! The Mozzarella Mushroom Chicken sounds great, can’t wait to try it. Hope you have a great week.

Yes, that Hoisin and Honey Pork was good: I trippled the sauce and did not regret it!
ToyLady says
It must be Greek week! I’m going to be making a Greek-style shepherd’s pie this week, too! That pizza does look good, Laura – I’m definitely keeping the recipe for a future pizza night!
Jena Organizing Momm says
Well, here we go March. Sorry about the 8 foot snow bank. We don’t have snow, but it was bitterly cold. I just wanna get out there and clean the garage!!
Wendy says
Laura
You’re tempting me with that pork recipe.
We’re doing chickpeas this week for the gluten free swap. Thanks again.

Thanks for hosting such a great site! I’ve been enjoying your menus and met many “friends” through you. Just got my blog up and running – hope to have you over for a visit.
Donna says
Laura, Thanks for the link to the Mozzarella Mushroom Chicken recipe. I’m going to tweak it a little for tonights dinner, it sounds great!
Hopefully I did my Linky right this time. I think I’ve finally figured it out!

I welcome it, and hopefully we’ll see Spring.

Happy March!
We got some light snow last night. I sure hope not to see anymore so we can get on with Spring. My b-day is coming up April 1st and I pray there will not be snow.
Have a great week!

I can’t wait to see other’s menus 🙂

Once again, I love linking up to MPM. It makes me feel so much more organized when I have my menu all planned out! And, I think I may just have to try your Greek pizzas! They look and sound so yummy!
Holli says
Thanks for hosting. I can heartily recommend the coq au vin I did last week. It’s Alton Brown’s recipe. A bit labor intensive, but WELL WORTH IT. Everyone loved it.
Thanks for hosting!

It even snowed here in Georgia. Tonight it’s soup for us! 🙂

I love to cook, but some weeks the time and the willpower just aren’t there. Figures that such a week would coincide with an empty freezer. So this week, my menu plan is filled with favorites; things that are easy to make, quick to assemble, and tasty.
Tiffany says
Mmm, I am going to have to try that Mozarella and Mushroom Chicken! Looks super yummy. Have a great week. I know I will —warm sand, sisters, Mickey…
Tracey says
I haven’t had egg salad in forever! The Mozzarella Mushroom Chicken sounds yummy, too, and not too difficult!
Steph says
I’m excited to be that much closer to spring, though I keep remembering how we had a blizzard on my daugther’s birthday last year – how did she get to be 2 already?
Have a great week!
Steph
Keesha says
I’d planned to have plain cheese quesadillas for lunch today, but after seeing your Zesty Corn Quesadillas recipe I jazzed them up with some corn, cilantro and jalapeno. They were very yummy on multi-grain tortillas. Thanks for the inspiration!
JJ says
I would give you the hits from this week but my schedule was all shot to heck. I do know that the Red Lentil Soup is good since we’ve had that before. And the Chef Boyardee and Beans & Weenies were good too. *sigh*
Elaine says
Laura – I just posted my menu for the week and it says it is at 371 and I have the name set at Elaine H.

Here goes another week of planned meals!

Thanks for such a great site Laura! It has provided me with so much inspiration!

The Greek Pizzas and the egg salad look great. Egg salad sandwiches are one of my favorite sandwiches, specially on lightly toasted bread. YUMMY!!
Tara says
Wow, it’s been a while since I’ve done MPM and I can’t believe there’s over 400 people!! I will NEVER be at a loss for a recipe!

I’m ready for Spring too Laura! Hope you have a great week.

I was having trouble just getting one up this week so I’m gonna go back and link my recipes tomorrow. Sorry about that!

I too love the start of a new month…. especially March. There is something so exciting about the start of spring.
Snow, not one of them, but you are right, it’s coming soon! Have a great month!
Amy says
I just came across your blog and wanted to let you know I tried the Mexican Pasta Bake last night and we loved it! Thanks so much for sharing! Have a great day!
Jennifer says
I agree- it’s nice to know it’s March. Just saying March and the fact that it’s light out more makes me feel like spring is around the corner even though it’s “pouring” snow right now!
I posted my menu yesterday but forgot to link! Not that’s it’s all that inspiring, just trying to not go to the store as long as I can!
Cynthia says
Put me down as another fan of the new month 🙂 Somehow, I feel as though I’m getting a “do over.”
Oh, I apologize for goofing up the addy in my original link (#474).
