Works for me Wednesday - Toy storage basket

Hello and welcome! Guess whats working for me this week? Okay I’ll tell you because you’ll never guess……my new basket! Yeah! Not just any basket either…..it’s a pretty under the coffee table lined basket that is just perfect for……..baby toys! Thanks to my dear friend for the SuperValue heads up. I was using an unsightly plastic tote up till I found this beauty and I just couldn’t be happier. It slides in and out easily and tucks away ever so nicely. I’m giddy with delight!!! Check it out:

It definitely works for me! For more wonderful Works for me Wednesday tips and tricks, visit Shannon over at Rocks in My Dryer.

Uh oh! I’m coveting your basket. Where, pray tell, did you find it? Please tell me it was some big, all over the country, chain store giant!

I purchased it from SuperValue which is a grocery store here in BC, Canada where I live…a most unlikely place to find a basket but I was sure glad I did…I’ve been looking for years to find something that fit under my coffee table.

I have a basket very similiar to this under my coffee table! Mine holds our school books that we read while sitting on the couch. It is so nice to have them so close at hand…and so attractive at the same time. Great idea!

That is a great basket. I keep the girl’s toys in baskets in the living room too, but mine aren’t lined and pretty like yours! :) Mine are also overflowing … maybe that is something I need to put on my TO DO List for today.

    Thanks for sharing!

Another great idea! Thanks! I am saving that for when I have a coffee table again. (We have little ones who might hit their heads on it. I am happy every time they fall on the big soft ottoman). ;) I have never seen a big square basket like that! For anyone in the U.S. looking for lined baskets though, you can send them to crafts stores like Michael’s (and children’s stores for higher prices).

how cool is that? I don’t have a coffee table, or baby toys, but I can think of 2 places off the top of my head that I can use that.

Great idea! We got a few ice tub like things from Target that are bright colored with wood handles and generally match our decor, excellent for toys as well.

What a great idea, and the right size too - I’m going to Ikea tomorrow to see if they have something like this I can buy.
