Menu Plan Monday ~ May 11th + giveaway!

Updated:  This giveaway is now closed.  The winner is Amy from Heart Matters.  Congratulations Amy!

I hope everyone had a wonderfully relaxing Mother’s Day!  My husband and kids made me a delicious breakfast in bed this morning.  My omelet was presented on the “celebrate” plate which was a nice treat because I don’t think I’ve ever gotten to use it before.    I also got to spend some time organizing various areas of my house including some books which were cluttering up one of my shelves.  Would you believe I forgot to take before pictures for my own challenge…duh.  Anyways I definitely was able to throw out 50 things and will be taking a lot of it to the thrift store tomorrow.  Yay!

Giveaway!

In honor of Mother’s Day yesterday I’ve decided to giveaway something that I purchased with all of you in mind.  It is one of my favorite organizing tools and it is especially helpful for menu planning.  It is the Week Over Week Rotating Dry Erase Calendar.

Long time readers of this site will know how much I love this product and I am so excited to bless someone else with one.  To be eligible simply participate in this week’s Menu Plan Monday as usual by linking up below to your own weekly menu before Tuesday night at 8:00 pm PST.  That’s it.  I’ll draw the winner by random generator.  If you’ve been on the fence about menu planning, now is the perfect time to give it a try.  What do you have to lose, go for it!

Here is what we’ll be eating this week:

Monday: Sausage Pancakes

Tuesday: Thai Chicken Fettuccini Alfredo

Wednesday: Slow Cooked Bavarian Pot Roast served with potatoes and carrots

Thursday: Leftover buffet

Friday: Quick Homemade Pizza

Saturday: Fajitas

Simple Supper Sunday

WHAT’S ON YOUR MENU THIS WEEK?

  2. Your recipe for chicken fettuccine looks good. I have one son who requests it so much that I get tired of the same old recipe. I’ll try this one sometime!

  3. As soon as I read your earlier post on this calendar we ordered one! It’s been great. What a super thing to offer.
(And–Mr. Linky was acting funny, telling me I had linked, but then I wasn’t on the list so I did it again. If I’m doubled up, I’m sorry!)

  4. I must admit… the Thai fettucini thing looks weird. But hey! It’s probably fabulous. I will link up when I’m done organizing. I think I have gotten rid of 50 things.. today.

  5. Two weeks of menu planning in a row! Could it be that I’m becoming organized since finding your site…I think so! Thanks!

  7. Hello!
There are only 2 of us here so I can’t make a full week’s worth. I think I will take Wednedsday and make it on Tuesday! Won’t have to cook again until Thursday! I’ll take the fajitas. HA! Happy Mother’s Day from yesterday!

  8. Looks like a lot of us are adding that Thai Chicken Fettucini to our list of new recipes to try. Have a great week.

  9. What a great idea – looks fantastic!!! How useful! And I’m interested in your Tuesday recipe – off to check it out right away 🙂

  10. What an awesome give-away! WOULD LOVE THIS, esp because I will be moving away soon and my hubby will be in NJ, miles from me and the 9 kids a lot 🙁

  14. I have a friend who has one of those and finds it to be quite handy. The only time I actually saw one at a store locally I was not able to buy it so getting one here would be great.

    Have a great day.
