Guest Post Submission Guidelines

***Please note that at this time, I am not currently accepting guest submissions**

Thanks for your interest in guest posting on I’m an Organizing Junkie!  Since I’ve been swamped with guest post requests lately I thought it might be helpful to provide some guidelines around this process.

These guidelines are intended to provide you with some assistance in preparing your post for submission.  Submissions that follow these guidelines are much more likely to be published.

I welcome you to submit a post topic(s) and outline for consideration.  I will review it and determine whether or not I think it’s a good fit for Org Junkie readers.  Please also keep in mind the following:

  • I do not accept guest posts that are submitted for the sole purpose of obtaining link bait (keyword link).  In other words guest posts should not be written specifically to provide you with back links or promote your product.  If this is your intention please don’t bother sending your request to me as I will not accept it.
  • I also won’t accept guest posts from self storage or storage unit companies.  As much as I love Storage Wars, it’s not a strategy I support.
  • Submission of your outline does not guarantee a guest post spot.  Relevancy and calendar availability will both be factored in.
  • Preference will also be given to original posts (not published elsewhere on the web) that are well written and specific to the topics of organization and/or menu planning.
  • Post size should be kept to around 700 words or less give or take a few.
  • If your post is accepted you will need to include at least TWO high-res compressed images that are your own or are copyright free.  I will require you to include the source of the photos so I can properly credit them.  I will not accept images taken from another blog or Pinterest without written permission from them first.
  • Use of short paragraphs is highly encouraged as it makes reading much easier.
  • I prefer submissions to be in HTML format however I will also accept them as a Word document.  Please attach images separately in your email.
  • Please pay attention to spelling, grammar and punctuation.  These things are important and shouldn’t be neglected.
  • I’ll also need a short bio blurp from you to include at the end of your post along with a link to your site and, if you’d like, a head shot as well.
  • At this time I do not offer monetary compensation for guest posts.

I will make every effort to get back to you as soon as possible to let you know whether or not your submission has been accepted.  However due to time constraints if you haven’t heard back from me within a couple of weeks it’s probably safe to assume your post has not been accepted.  If your post is accepted however please understand that depending on how many guest posts I have in the queue, it may be several weeks before your post is published.

If you would like to submit your guest post idea for review, please email it to organizingjunkie {at} gmail {dot} com with “Guest Post Submission” in the subject line.

As a reminder the following information is required for review:

Your full name
Your blog/site URL
Your post title
The idea for your post (in a couple of sentences)

Thanks so much and I look forward to working with you!!

At this time I’m an Organizing Junkie does not accept link exchanges, text links or written posts from businesses.

I have a post titled ‘5 Tips for Getting Your Bedroom Ready for Summer’ and i think it would be a nice fit for your site.

The post is basically about organising your room in the best possible way in order to get the best nights sleep in the summer months. If you’d like I can send it over for you to look at and decide if you’d like to use it?

I hope to hear back from you soon,
