Welcome to my July 2021 Favorites!
Hey there! Here we are at the end of July, half way through summer. After not being able to do much last summer, this summer has turned into my summer of yes. Yes to going places, visiting friends and family, trying new things and being spontaneous. We’ve been having so much fun! I’ve got lots to catch you up on from July and another picture dump to go along with it. Thank you for stopping by today, you’ll find all my favorites from this past month below. It’s so much fun for me to share these with all my internet girlfriends. Enjoy!
JuLY 2021 FAVORITES
*I get commissions for purchases made through links in this post. I’ve purchased everything myself unless otherwise noted.*
In July my family took a little trip to Jasper here in Canada. Jasper is in the rocky mountains and is just so beautiful. We stayed at the cutest cottage. Here are a few pictures from that trip.
An elk welcome for us at the lodge we stayed at.
Relaxing with my feet up!

Currently EATING:
As most of you know I’m on the Paleo diet to manage my Rheumatoid Arthritis. Anytime I can find a new food to eat is a very exciting day! You probably wouldn’t even believe me if I told you how giddy I get. And this month I found a cereal! Do you know it’s been over 6 years since I had cereal. This grain-free Seven Sundays cereal is delightful and delicious. And look at the cute shape of it. This here is the cinnamon flavor which was good but my favorite is the real berry flavor. Yum! It has 6 ingredients that are super clean and it’s refined sugar-free. I purchased mine from Natura Market online. Expensive but worth it especially as an easy option for traveling.
Currently Reading:
I only read one book this past month but thankfully I rated it a four star so that’s good. It’s called The Things we Leave Unfinished by Rebecca Yarros. It is a romance but what held my attention was the way it jumps between two time periods, the present and the 1940’s. It follows two separate stories, that while decades apart, are completely interwoven with a twist at the end that I didn’t actually see coming. Yay for that!
CURRENTLY WATCHING:
I was so excited this past month for Virgin River to be back with Season 3 on Netflix. It was good but 10 episode seasons just don’t seem long enough. It felt like they were just getting started and it was over already.
Another series I watched from beginning to end in July was Chasing Life on Prime Video. It ‘s an older show with only 2 seasons but the first season has 21 episodes in it! There’s just something about a chaotic family drama that I can’t get enough of.
Currently Loving:
As always, every month I like to share with you three or four things that I’m loving on. First up is my new feature wall in my office. I put up a beautiful floral peel and stick wallpaper that makes me so happy. It wasn’t as easy to put up as I thought it would be but with the help of my son we got it done. It’s so pretty! Wallpaper purchased from Canadian Tire.
I have loved the Hempz lotion for a long time and the sweet pineapple and honey melon scent is a real favorite. What’s new is the packaging of it. They now call it the Happy Collection and it has my name written all over it, ha! So so good!
Now I have to ask you…how many Golden Girls shirts are too many? I love the Golden Girls and a sweet friend bought me this t-shirt for my birthday (from Walmart) to add to my growing collection. So fun!
In our summer of yes, we said yes to learning how to play Pickleball! I loved it! It’s basically ping pong on a bigger scale played on a court. My boys and husband loved it too and it’s awesome to find something that we can all do together. A lot of fun was had by all! Have you played?
Currently ORGANIZING:
Suitcases! I know a lot more people are traveling this summer. And if that’s the case you might want to review my helpful tips for packing in just a carry-on. I think suitcase packing should be an Olympic sport. I know I’d have a shot at the gold, ha! The fact that I’m an over packer and can still fly with just a carry-on makes me so happy. I like to be prepared for all the things, I just don’t want to pay extra fees to do it. You know what I mean?
Currently Purging:
I did one trip to drop off donations at our local thrift store in July. Felt good to get it all out of my house. Now to start filling my donation station again :).
What have you been purging this past month?

LOVE your pic relaxing on the porch!
Canada is GORGEOUS – a visit is on my bucket list.
SORRY about your rheumatoid arthritis (mine is regular osteoarthritis).
Interesting cereal replacement. I checked on it. Good protein, but expected more fiber. Is the texture similar to Grape Nuts cereal? It is too hard for my taste – even with milk.
Have your diet changes really helped – what percent improvement?
THANK YOU for all you GREAT advice in several areas of life.
Peace, Love, Blessings, Health and Happiness!

Where did you go canoeing in Jasper?
