Welcome to my May 2021 Favorites!
Hello my lovely blog friends! Happy long weekend to those of you living in the US. I hope it’s fantastic and relaxing and SUNNY for you! I’m very excited that June is almost here and for a very good reason. Yep, I turn FIFTY in June! I can’t even believe it, but I suppose everyone says that. And as you all know, birthdays are kind of a big deal for me. I love celebrating another year on this earth and 50 years is a pretty big milestone. It’s not happening like I would have loved considering we are still dealing with major restrictions here in Canada. No big party for me sadly. But my love language is quality time, so as long as I get some of that with friends and family, even if in smaller settings, I’ll be happy. Thank you for stopping by today, you’ll find all my favorites from this past month below. It’s so much fun for me to share these with you. Enjoy!
may 2021 FAVORITES
*I get commissions for purchases made through links in this post. I’ve purchased everything myself unless otherwise noted.*
Currently Drinking:
So this past month I shared a delicious Sparkling Cherry Vanilla Sugar-Free Lemonade that was giving me all the summer vibes. It’s so good!
However there is also another little something I’ve been loving in the drink category. These True Lemon Packets are just delightful. Made from real lemons and unsweetened, the packets are super easy and convenient to mix in with your beverage of choice.
I usually mix one in with my water. Also right now I’m loving these fun color changing cups from Walmart. They come in a pack of 4 I believe.
Currently eating:
Have you heard? I’m a salty girl which means potato chips are another love language of mine, ha! Of course now that I eat Paleo I’m a little limited in which ones I can eat. Mostly I like to keep ingredients to a minimum and avoid the bad oils which can spike inflammation. These Hardbite Black Sea Salt chips are my current favorite. They are a Canadian brand and the chips are made with avocado oil, have nothing artificial in them and are oh so yummy!
Currently Reading:
I’m not sure if I’ve mentioned the Everyday Faith magazine to you before or not but it is such a beautiful read. I purchase it at Walmart and this summer edition is just so lovely. I highly recommend it!
Currently Loving:
First on my list this month is this set of Rubbermaid Fresh Works containers that are designed to keep produce fresher longer. I was so leery about this purchase because I didn’t think they would actually work. But I was influenced by someone on Instagram and so decided to give them a try. After using them for awhile now I can confirm they really do work! As you can see the set comes in three different sizes. The smallest holds a half pint of berries, the middle a full pint of strawberries and the largest size holds a full 312g of spinach. And they do in fact keep the produce fresher longer compared to leaving them in their plastic containers.
Next on my favorites list is this Native Deodorant. I’ve seen people in the US talking about it for awhile now but it hasn’t been available to purchase here in Canada. Then recently I discovered that Walmart is now carrying it so of course I had to try it. I haven’t had much luck with natural deodorant products in the past. I’ve tried at last count at least 10 different ones. This Native brand is now my new favorite and the Coconut & Vanilla scent is amazing! It’s been working really well even when we were working in the yard last weekend in the hot sun. Paraben and aluminum free. Whoot!
Finally my next favorite thing is a clip-on fan that brings me great joy! My treadmill has a built in fan however my recumbent bike does not. I purchased this inexpensive fan from Amazon and it just clips right on and cools me right off. It’s USB rechargeable which is great. It’s not too big but gives off some nice cool air. It also stands alone, you don’t have to clip it. Would also be great clipped to a stroller to keep baby cool. I purchased mine from Amazon.ca and I found a similar one on Amazon.com just by a different brand.
Currently ORGANIZING:
With the nicer weather out now, I’ve been doing more work outside than inside. So I haven’t been doing a lot of organizing projects lately (gasp!). But here are links to two of the top things I shared on the blog in May.
Setting Up School Memory Boxes
And of course my post with my Top 10 Best Organizing Products
Currently Purging:
The only things we donated to the thrift store in May were two saucers used for snow sledding. Wow I’m pretty sure that must be some kind of record for me, ha!
What have you been purging this past month?
My Amazon Store:
If anyone is wondering about organizing products and wanting to see more of my favorites, you’ll be happy to know that I’ve got them all together in one place. Check them all out right HERE in my Amazon shop. So many glorious things! And I’ve added quite a few new items this past month.
