Welcome to my March 2021 Favorites!
Hello friends! So happy to see you here. I’m getting my monthly favorites post up a little early because it’s spring break here next week. And since we can’t go anywhere we are going to paint our basement instead for fun, ha! My boys are super thrilled about it. Nope, no they are not. But the dark orange walls have got to go. I’ll definitely be taking pictures of the progress to share with you. I can’t wait until it’s done. So I’m sharing my March 2021 favorites with you now in case all that painting completely wears me out next week. Thank you again for stopping by this little online home of mine. It’s so much fun for me to share these things with you. Enjoy!
March 2021 FAVORITES
*I get commissions for purchases made through links in this post. All products shown were purchased by me unless otherwise noted.*
CURRENTLY EATING:
My mom bought my husband and I the most awesome gift for our 26th wedding anniversary this month. She sent me a Paleo Snack box from Amazon. I didn’t even know such a thing existed and it was such a treat! This same company also has other healthy snack boxes including a Keto one so definitely check it out if this is something you are interested in. They make great gifts! Sorry it looks like they are only available on the Canadian Amazon site.
CURRENTLY DRINKING:
I mentioned this one in a Menu Plan Monday post but I’m going to go right ahead and mention it again because it’s that good! I’ve been having two of these delicious Almond Chocolate smoothies a week on low carb days. They taste like a Wendy’s frosty to me :). So good!
1 tbsp cocoa powder
2 tablespoons almond butter
1 cup almond milk
1/4 cup avocado (this will make it nice and creamy)
about 4 or 5 ice cubes
I’ll also add some protein powder as well if I’m needing a boost. I use the Omega Nutrition, Pumpkin Seed Protein Powder. It’s excellent with only one simple clean ingredient, partially defatted organic pumpkin seed powder. And not a bad price point either as far as protein powders go.
Currently Loving:
Before I get into some of my kitchen favorites from this past month, I wanted to share a picture of my beautiful anniversary flowers from my hubby. We didn’t get to spend it together sadly but at least I got to stare at these beauties for a long time.
Next, I’m excited to share these awesome Swedish dishcloths with you. Made from 70% wood pulp and 30% cotton harvested from sustainable forests, these cloths are super absorbent and machine washable. They last a long time and don’t get stinky (I hate that!). These particular ones come in a 10 pack in a variety of colors. I went with the yellow of course because it’s my favorite happy color.
And staying on the topic of kitchen stuff, my next favorite is giving me all the summer vibes. How adorable is this kitchen towel set? I can’t help but smile whenever I look at them. They come in a set of 3 with 3 different fun designs. I really can’t pick a favorite one though because I love them all! Come on!
The third favorite is another one for the kitchen. Straws! Not just any straws, glass straws!! Now here in Canada, you can no longer buy plastic straws. So I’ve been trying all sorts of alternatives. And I just didn’t like how they felt on my teeth. And don’t even get me started on how awful I think paper straws are. Yuck! But then I tried glass straws and loved them!! And check out where I got them. The dollar store for $1.50! Yes, please. If you can’t find them at your dollar store though, they do have a set on Amazon with great reviews.
Using a glass straw to drink my delicious Cherry Green Smoothie, yum!
Currently Watching:
My kids and I watched the new Jennifer Gardner movie, Yes Day, on Netflix and it was so fun. There were definitely a few laugh out loud moments. Just a really cute movie to watch with your whole family. Have you watched it yet?
CURRENTLY READING:
This month I passed the reading challenge I set for myself for all of 2021! Since I only read 10 books last year, my goal this year was to read 12 and I just finished my 13th book! I guess I need to revise my challenge numbers and up the game a little bit. But for now it’s just fun to say I actually accomplished a goal 9 months early, whoot!!!! Not all the books I read this month were great but one I do recommend and rated a solid 4 out of 5 is The Four Winds by Kristin Hannah. I couldn’t put it down.
Currently ORGANIZING:
Two things I organized this past month include:
And I also shared how I keep my life organized with my two favorite planners.
Currently Purging:
In March I did one thrift store drop off. There is ALWAYS something to declutter. Everyone should have at least one bag or box to purge out of your home each month. Get it done and get it out!
What have you been purging this past month?
My Amazon Store:
If anyone is wondering about organizing products and wanting to see more of my favorites, you’ll be happy to know that I’ve got them all together in one place. Check them all out right HERE in my Amazon shop. So many glorious things! And I’ve added quite a few new items this past month.
Current Sponsor:
Finally I want to thank Smead Manufacturing Company for being a long-standing sponsor of my site. Smead is a woman-owned company well-known for its high quality, environmentally responsible products and innovative organizational systems.
