Welcome to Menu Plan Monday!
Hello! It’s Canada Day today here in Canada, woohoo!! I love being a Canadian and I love long weekends. I also love that June is behind us and today is the start of a brand new month. Yes!
My birthday desserts that I tried to make for myself both didn’t turn out. The gluten-free apple crisp and Paleo ice cream didn’t look half bad but they sure didn’t taste that great. Boo.
A couple of days later though my sweet girlfriend surprised me with a Paleo cinnamon bun. Oh my was it ever delicious!! I gobbled it up so fast, yum!!
Another recipe that I was told was really good (I couldn’t try it myself) was a dish I made for a potluck we went to on the weekend. This recipe for Taco Pasta Salad makes a pretty big batch and doesn’t have to be heated so it’s perfect for an outdoor potluck. This is a picture I took of it before putting the crushed Doritos on top.

Thanks for hosting! This week I am bringing goodness from the garden. Carnival Squash with Apples and Thyme kicks off the list. Then Sautéed Zucchini Coins and my husband’s Maple Roasted Sweet Potatoes round out the list. Enjoy!
