Hi friends, happy Friday to you all. I’m back today to share a simple organized art and office caddy with you. This post is part of the small organized spaces series that I’ve been doing.
This particular art supplies and office caddy setup was originally shared by Rachel, a former blog contributor here, a couple of years ago. But I like the simplicity of it so much that I think it’s worth sharing with you again. Because as you’ll see sometimes all it takes is a container and a few Solo cups to make you feel like a million bucks. To divide and conquer a space makes a big difference organizationally and certainly doesn’t have to be expensive or complicated to do. This is a small example of how that works. And sometimes it just feels good to knock a small task off the list to get your motivation to organize revved up. One small accomplishment fuels the fire for future projects.
So I’ve got to tell you that I am a sucker for a good caddy. Even the word caddy just makes me happy. Anyone else agree? Come on, what’s not to love about divided spaces for all the things! Rachel has this really great acrylic caddy with handle (affiliate link) that she uses for her daughter’s art supplies. It already has built in dividers and a handle so it is a perfect solution for art and office supplies. It works great on it’s own but then Rachel went and took it up a notch and it gives me all the heart eyes.
Before
And after!!
I love how the cups keep the markers and pencil crayons from falling over on to themselves like they had been doing. Makes it a little easier to find what you need for sure. I love that something so simple as a couple of inexpensive cups can make you feel like an organizational superstar. What’s not to love about that! Plus the cups come in almost any size or color needed for whatever container you are working with. The color adds such a fun pop! And don’t sweat it if you don’t have this exact container. You could also easily use a box and some cups to get the exact same effect.
The beauty of this particular caddy though is that it already does come with some smaller divided sections on one side which is super helpful. Plus the handle makes it really easy for you or the kids to move it around.
A little project like this would take you no time at all and will hopefully leave you scanning your home for other small projects to do.
This caddy would also be great for organizing makeup in a bathroom as well especially if you are limited in drawer space. It would definitely help keep your counters from becoming a cluttered mess that is for sure. And isn’t that what organization is all about. Finding simple solutions to cluttered messes so you don’t have to work as hard to keep things tidy. Yes please!
How do you currently organize your art and office supplies? Maybe they could use a little clean out and organizational refresh. Or, maybe you have another small project you’ve been wanting to tackle. Either way, I do hope this post encourages and motivates you to get er done. Never discount the power of a small task 🙂
