Welcome to Org Junkie’s Monthly Organizing Recap
Happy Friday everyone! Did you survive September? I hope so. Despite the days we had snow in September, Autumn is officially here. And you know what that means right? It’s a great time to let things go!
October is an excellent time to do a little purging. Although you do know I say that about every month, ha! What areas of your home are driving you most crazy? Bedrooms? Kitchen? Toys? Paper? Closets? Whatever it is, I’d love if you could let me know in the comments. I’m preparing a purge challenge for us all and I want it to be beneficial for you.
I did another big purge pile in September and it felt so great. I can’t recommend it more highly. Once you get past all the barriers keeping you attached to your things, you will be free to only keep the things that really are important to you.
A few of my popular posts from this past month, in case you missed them, include:

Now let’s get into what I like to do at the end of every month. I love showcasing my really fantastic sponsors that offer such great organizing resources. Please give them some love by going on over and checking their websites out. You’ll be so glad you did!!

Yay, I can’t wait for the challenge! My kitchen and bedroom closet are driving me crazy! I feel like I need to get a handle on the kitchen before the holidays. I usually do the purge AFTER the holidays, not this year. I could probably tackle my closet fairly easily but to find the time…:)
Laura Wittmann says
Yes! That’s exactly why I want to do the challenge before the holidays. Yay!! 🙂

Paper and keepsakes are my biggest problems I have to tackle. I have a hard time purging some paper items because I might need them later and I’m just not sure how to organize some keepsakes.
Kristen Boe says
I know this is off topic, but I love your letter board!! I’ve never seen a wood one before. Where do you get it?
Laura Wittmann says
Totally not off topic at all, I purchased it from This Little Estate. I love it! Here’s the link:

I have a problem with “not right now but very soon” paper. For example, the kids have a field trip. I have to sign the permission slip but also log in to a system online to pay the fee. The permission slip I did right away, but the payment took a day or two because my computer is elsewhere in the house. This delayed action category might include sale flyers or coupons, board minutes I need to type up, or a bill to pay that needs a stamp (and I need to buy stamps). My counter is always piled with this stuff! I clear it often, but the piles bug me. If I can do something right away, I do, but it’s the multi-step stuff that piles up!
