Hi friends! We had a gorgeous weekend here where we live in northern, Alberta Canada. Oh my I love sunshine, it just makes me so happy. I hope it never ends. As someone who doesn’t eat refined sugar though, finding cool treats I can have can be a bit of a challenge. No slurpees for this girl! I decided to make up a batch of delicious cold-brew tea. Only problem is it’s not ready to go for 24 hours. You can find my recipe for this right HERE.
Then I remembered my Yonanas maker downstairs in my appliance cupboard. I just happened to have frozen bananas and strawberries on hand too and I knew it would hit the spot. Anyone remember the Yonanas maker? I’ve had one for years but I don’t hear many people talk about them much anymore. They are the perfect way to make frozen desserts without dairy or refined sugar.
You just add frozen fruit to the top of the maker and push it down with the tool provided.
It comes out like this mixed together.
I just roll it up with an ice cream scoop and enjoy. It’s so yummy and refreshing!
I love mine! You can find them to purchase HERE on Amazon (affiliate link).

For a delicious hot day treat, I love to make nice cream. Very similar to your Yonana concoction, but I just use frozen bananas and my food processor. I add a bit of cacoa powder and a few dates for sweetness and yum!
Your smoothie looks delicious! I love a good green smoothie 🙂
