The following is a guest post about organized tips for back to school success from regular contributor, Yuni at Love Your Abode.
Hi friends, are you still enjoying your summer? After a fun-filled and relaxed summer break, school is in full swing in our household. Our traditional rainbow cake signifies that school is starting the next day. We gather with friends and celebrate the start of the new school year.
Easing back into our normal school year routine means returning to organizing methods that ensure a smooth transition. These are some of the tips I’ve shared at Orgjunkie the last two years that have helped us maintain some good habits as well as keep this mama sane during the hectic school year.
Tip 1: School Lunch Prep
I shared two posts regarding school lunch and snack prep and these tips are still used in our home. I’m all about efficiency since we pack 4 lunches almost every evening. Doing a small thing like keeping water bottles corralled in a basket has been so helpful!

I like to keep all my sandwich making ingredients in one basket in the refrigerator so I know exactly where everything is.
Tip 2: Organized Refrigerator Tips
Keeping the refrigerator organized ensures efficiency when packing lunches. This is also helpful with meal planning so we know what we have.

Tip 3: Organized Clothes Drawers
Rolling clothes in our drawers creates more storage space and makes each item visible.

Tip 4: Organized Craft Supplies
I like to keep craft supplies organized at home so that they easily come out during homework time and go back to their place after it’s all done.

Tip 5: School Mementos Keeper
Each child in our home has a binder and in it, we collect important awards, class photos and some art work. Simple tabs in the binder keep the grades separated for each child.
I hope you find these tips helpful. Good luck in the new school year!
