This past Monday marked my 11th year blog anniversary! Yep I’ve been blogging here all about organizing for ELEVEN years and it’s been a blast! I never get tired of the topic, at least not yet anyway 🙂 And today, in honor of the occasion, I’m very excited to bring you another favorites giveaway!
Last year, you might remember, I went all out with a 10th blog anniversary photo shoot, but five months ago I decided to start growing out my grey hair so there will be no fun photo shoot this year, ha! Gosh it’s a painful process and the transition is so not pretty. I keep looking at these pictures from last year and I’m not going to lie, I’m missing my old hair. Anyone else here grown out your grey? Got any words of wisdom or encouragement for me to help me get through it?
So even though there will be no new photo shoot, there is a FUN giveaway!! You all seem to really like the giveaways where I collect some of my favorite things. I’m so glad about that too because I have such a great time pulling it all together. Creating baskets of goodies gets me down right giddy. I’m so excited for you to see this year’s basket of organizing fun. I love, love, love it and I hope you will too!
Ready to see it? Let’s get to it!
{where possible I’ve used Amazon affiliate links to help you easily find products mentioned}
Okay so first of all, the basket starts with well a basket, but of course! I love these particular ones from Dollarama, they come in a variety of colors but white is my favorite.
Next is a product I’ve included in a favorites giveaway before. These are my very favorite Natura Wonder Dish Cloths sold at Home Hardware. I find they don’t get that nasty musty smell.
Remember when I wrote about how I organize my receipts? I’m including in this giveaway a pretty paper accordion file that could be used for managing receipts or any other paper organization purpose. I bought this one at Chapters.
Next is a lovely Ora Kiely cosmetic bag. I love this particular size for all sorts of things, not just makeup. I’m also including a super cute green leather Kilofly card organizer that I first blogged about HERE.
Now if you know me you know how much I love aprons and I wear them all the time. I always include one in my giveaways so today is no different. I love this teal, brown and yellow color combination of not only the apron but the MATCHING tea towels too, how fun is that! I purchased both at Save On Foods of all places.
And of course I had to add the happy water bottle because it matches too, ha!
Cute clipboards are a must for free organizing printables. Plus the winner will get this sweet sticky note, day of the week notepad set as well to help you stay organized.
I’ve got even more notepads for you because I love them and have these exact same ones that I use regularly. And this pen set is just pretty, pretty, pretty!!!
Finally I’ve got another makeup case for you called the Better Beauty Case by Joy Mangano. This one is really neat because it unrolls to reveal 4 detachable zippered compartments designed to handle jewelry, cosmetics and more. Keep your look together with this beauty case that opens flat for access to items and then rolls up for easy storage. So smart!
Giveaway:
To enter to win this fun basket of goodies all you have to do is fill in the Rafflecopter form below. Giveaway open to everyone. Giveaway ends, June 4th at 4:00 pm MT. Good luck! Please keep in mind that sometimes the Rafflecopter form takes a minute to load so if you don’t see it right away, please be patient. Thanks!

I’ve always looked forward to your blog. When my older kids moved out I printed out so many handy tips and put them on their refrigerator.

Congratulations Laura! You are an inspiration to me, especially with your personal posts. I discovered Pentatonix because of you. 🙂 Keep on doing what you do! Hugs.

Wow, 1 years already! I have been following for a long time, and have really enjoyed so many of your posts. I printed out your packing lists when my kids were babies, and they helped a lot for vacation packing. Thanks for all the inspiration and motivation to get organizing.
Nicola says
I meant 11 years, not 1!!

A few years ago I heeded a salutory warning from a friend who was letting her hair go ‘natural’. I occasionally had highlights put in before that, but decided to leave my fair hair natural after that to avoid the dreaded “roots line”. Now it’s got somewhat fairer – the only problem is I no longer want to scrape it back into a ponytail as the grey is so much more obvious at the temples, and summer’s coming. Oh, well!
Loving your blog – I’ve got an organised mind but that, I’m afraid, is where my neat self starts and ends. I still love your inspiration, especially re menu-plan Monday. Keep it up!

I’m 65 and about 10 yrs ago I thought about letting the gray grow out and quickly changed my mine. I don’t have white or silver hair, it’s a drab color so my daughter has instructions when I die and my hair isn’t dry it better be a closed casket lol.

Congrats on 11 years, Laura!! I think you and Rhoda from Southern Hospitality are the only bloggers I know who have kept at it this long! I enjoy your content so much – here and on Instagram. 🙂

Thanks Whitney, that means a lot to me!

I let my gray grow out 2 years ago. Almost all of my gray is concentrated at my front hairline and in my part. My hair color would only look good for 2 or 3 weeks before I had major roots showing. It felt like a slow and painful process but I love my hair now. I get more compliments on my gray than on any previous hair style. I’ve had several people ask if I had it “done” including a hairdresser. Just stick with, it will be worth it.

Love the quick organizing tips! Congratulations on 11 years. Let the gray come on. You have earned it. I have never colored my hair for that reason. I have what I call a skunk’s tail down one side only.

I grew out my gray hair a few years ago by adding highlights so that there wasn’t a “skunk” line.

I love decluttering (in my mind) and I never actually manage to do it in reality. I needed to find you on facebook so I could find your blog. Thank you for all the tips you’re sharing!

When I grew my hair out to it’s natural color (I’d been fighting it since I was 25) I had it colored as light a blonde as I could. Between the fade of the color and the natural color, there wasn’t much difference and it wasn’t too painful. Then I had it cut short and grew it out from there! Good Luck
Suzy C says
I really love to read motivation and encouragement articles because I’ve had a broken ankle for 8 years, and I’ve had 8 operations and now they can’t operate anymore, so I just have to live with a fused ankle that doesn’t move anymore, no bending, and its not what it used to be, its kind of put back together off centre so I am balancing on thin air, so I have to use crutches for the rest of my life. I need gentle encouragement and motivation as I can do things very very slowly, I can only accomplish my organization in small concentrations . Love your blog, from Suzy
Laura Wittmann says
Oh Suzy, I’m so sorry, that must be tough. I understand, I live with a chronic illness and it’s really hard. Owning less stuff helps in so many ways with less to organize and clean in the long run. Hang in there!
Kuntner Henrietta says
Hi Laura, I’ve found your blog 9 years ago when my first daughter was born. I have really enjoyed your blog in all those years since than.
This is a wonderful givaway, thank you for it. May I ask where those indeed very nice pens are from. (The penset) thanks, Henrietta
Laura Wittmann says
Thank you so much! The pens I picked up at Winners here in Canada which is the same as Marshalls usually in the awesome section by the checkout 🙂
Libby says
Wow- congrats, 11 years is a long time in any business, especially online. I think I’ve just missed this giveaway- will you have more opportunities for people like me for next time?
