Disorganization can be caused by many things. Clutter of course can overwhelm and impact our physical surroundings and lack of planning can have dire consequences on our time. Both situations can be very stressful if not organized and managed properly. And by managed properly I mean organized just enough so you don’t completely lose your marbles on any given day :). Thankfully there are many organizing tools out there designed to help us pull off this thing called life where we try to keep 10 different balls rotating in the air all at one time. No easy feat am I right? And while it’s a good idea to try to reduce the number of balls we are juggling at any given time, it’s also pretty clear that baskets, planners, calendars and checklists should be our very best friends in the whole wide world.
Unfortunately I don’t have any baskets to give you today but I do have the next best thing, printables to help you manage your stuff and your time. Anyone else get as excited as I do about these things? Nothing fancy or even expensive but just a place to start to help us keep the sanity in check. You can find download instructions at the end of this post.
Weekly Menu Planner:
No week is complete without menu planning. Right? Wait, what? You don’t menu plan? I understand, some people love the 4:00 witching hour, what’s for dinner melt down so much that they do it day after day. You crazy girl. So in another attempt at luring you into the sanity saving method that is menu planning, here is a pretty little place to record your meals and groceries for the week. Just try it, you’ll like it 🙂
Today’s Organized Plan of Attack:
So the only way to really take charge of any day is to attack it head on. Show it who’s boss, no fooling around. This printable does just that. Start by listing your top three “I must get these things done today or else I’m going to cry” down. Next jot down the things to do if all goes according to plan and you have nothing but time. Hey it might happen! There is also a section for important morning and evening tasks. For instance, important morning tasks for me include wiping down the kitchen after the kids get off to school, making sure I have my meat out of the freezer for dinner and doing a quick 10 minute tidy.
There is a space for dinner and appointments as well as your exercise and water goals.
100 Organizing Tasks to Tackle:
Here’s a checklist that I think you’ll really find helpful to get life organized. I sat down and listed out 100 organizing tasks that you can do around your house in small bits of time. Remember small tackles lead to big results so make a commitment to tackle one task per day and in no time your house will be feeling less cluttered and chaotic. Go in any order that you want and highlight the tasks as you get them done. Add one task a day to your Plan of Attack page above to help you remember.

Hi Kara, were you able to enter you email into the form box on this post and click on Org Junkie Extras before hitting submit? If yes, did you activate the subscription? Was it just the second email with the printables that you didn’t get? Let me know, thanks!

I’ve been working hard this year to keep up with stocking my shelves and freezer so I will have food. I made a list of what was currently in the deep freezer. It helps alot. Also been working on decluttering office area and keeping the dining room table clear. I just got rid of papers, cards, bills yesterday. Feels good! It’s interesting lately that I’ve seen quite a few people reading my blog posts about cleaning my coffee table and another one…something that I linked to your blog! Thanks for the printables and the encouragement!

Thank you for replying to my download question. I did not use the box above because I was already subscribed. It’s a little confusing for those of us who are already subscribed. I did follow the instructions so we’ll see if it works this go around. :–) Thanks Laura

So sorry about that. This technology stuff makes me twitch so much and it literally took me days to figure this all out and I still messed it up, oy!! If you don’t get it, shoot me an email and I will send it to you directly.
