Hello beautiful people! Happy Monday to you and the fresh start of a brand new week. Time to get ourselves set up for a great week by writing up a menu plan so we save ourselves all kinds of stress. If you haven’t tried it yet, please give it a try. You’ll be so glad you did!
Free Knife Course for Kids:
I am a big believer in getting your kids in the kitchen helping out from a young age. Why? So eventually they can take over the job of cooking from you of course! When my daughter lived at home, before she left me to go to University, she did most of the cooking for us. It really was a beautiful thing 🙂 I think it would have been hard to get her into the kitchen as a teen though if it wasn’t something we encouraged and taught from a young age. Now my teenage son helps us in the kitchen so much each night and my youngest is in training.
The one thing that’s the most nerve wrecking though, for good reason, is knife usage. Nobody wants to be spending hours in the emergency room with their kid getting stitches that is for sure. Katie from Kitchen Stewardship is once again offering her FREE kitchen knife video course for kids. You may remember me mentioning it before. Anyway it’s open again for sign up until Wednesday so I wanted to be sure to tell you about it just in case you were interested. Click on the banner below for more information.
Here’s what we’ll be eating this week. Have a wonderful week y’all!

My kids love making supper, and it’s something I should fit into our schedule more often. It is important to teach them to properly use a knife! Actionable advice on that topic would definitely be helpful.
Happy Halloween!

I was basically my mom’s sous chef from age 10 – and as a result, I have never been afraid to try a recipe and have always been confident in the kitchen. It’s such a great idea to get your kids involved in as much cooking as possible!
