Hey friends!! Well last week I had to leave out some information on my Menu Plan Monday post. I was actually away for a week on a road trip vacation with my family. I couldn’t tell you though because I didn’t want to announce that we weren’t home and that our house was sitting empty. It wasn’t a long trip and we have already gone and come home again. None of you will be surprised I’m sure when I tell you that we took a little trip to visit my daughter already. She’d only been gone 5 days! 🙂 I wanted to make sure she had gotten settled and also see the city she is living in since we have never been there before. We took our time getting there and made some stops along the way. It was a fun week! And while I won’t get to visit an ocean this year I did get to visit a beautiful lake and some stunning mountains (Banff) so that was nice.
I managed to stick to eating Paleo the entire time away and I’m pretty proud of that. I packed a lot of my own foods and ate carefully at restaurants. It wasn’t as tough as I thought it was going to be (and I managed to keep my pain to a minimum) except of course when my husband ordered up the new ice cream Pie Scraper at Boston Pizza. I really wanted to take a bite of this bad boy (but I didn’t!).
Doesn’t it look amazing!

I do the same thing! I want to share and be personal, but I’ve heard too many stories of oversharing when you travel.

Your menu looks scrumptious – and how wonderful that you were able to visit your daughter! The scenery is absolutely beautiful. We live near beaches, so the mountains are a treat for us. 🙂
