Here’s a story, of some lovely hooks
Who were very very lonely downstairs
There were many hooks, living all together
Yet they were all alone
Till the one day when their owner said enough
And they knew that it was much more than a hunch
That these hooks would somehow come upstairs
And that’s the way they all became the happy bunch
The happy bunch, the happy bunch
That’s the way they all become the happy bunch 🙂

Hahaha…just a little fun this fine Friday to the tune of the Brady Bunch theme song. Did you get that? Go back and sing it if you need to, I’ll wait. You know you want to 🙂 Gotta love the oldies.
So yes there is a story here. And yes I’m talking about Command hooks again (you can read last week’s post here) and no, no one is paying me to do so. I just can’t help myself. Allow me to elaborate. Back in September when I reorganized my office space, I moved all my Command hooks from my office upstairs to the laundry room downstairs. Then this past January when I added a new cabinet to my laundry room I made sure to fit my command hook bin inside. It seemed like such a great idea at the time.
I quickly realized though that this was a big problem for me because I found myself getting annoyed every time I needed a hook and had to go downstairs to grab one. Not only that, all my hooks were thrown into one bin so I had to dig to find the one I wanted.
I hate digging. Digging is dumb. So I knew I had to treat my precious hooks with a little more respect starting with moving them back upstairs where they belonged and where they could continue to be put to good use.
So I decided to make a space in my office armoire for them. I purchased another one of my fav three drawer plastic organizers (from Walmart) and got all my hooks sorted and organized. Why yes I love them that much 🙂

I must say that I’m so happy to no longer have them all squished together and can easily find and grab the one I need when I need it.
I moved the bin with the blue lid that holds my greeting cards up a shelf. The larger drawer bins to the left hold my party supplies as well as wrap and tissue.

Bottom drawer (my clear hooks!):
Also it’s okay to change your mind when something isn’t working for you. Don’t sweat it…just change it.
It’s all good.
Everyone’s happy.
The happy bunch of hooks and me.
The end.

Oh goodness, you organize your organization products, I love this so much, lol! I didn’t even know there were that many hooks available, that you would need to seperate them all. Are they really as awesome as they look in the commercials? Like they come off that easy, and don’t damage surfaces? I might have to go and get some, I’ve been wanting to hang some items in my kitchen cupboards.

Yes, I figured out the song before you even said what it was. I used to watch the Brady Bunch a long time ago. gotta love those command hooks. I’ve got none but keep thinking about buying some cuz there’s a good display in the hardware store where I work. So I think of you once in awhile when I pick one up and think it might be good for me! I’m also thinking of getting some flat bins with lids I saw at Costco awhile back for organization. Would help me and could …….no, not bought them yet cuz not sure if they are right for me even though it’s a good price. Sigh! Have a great weekend! :0>
P/S and the travel kit I bought before my trip to Nicaragua (late April) worked great for me and am so happy to have bought it. Less bulky than other one I have. Thanks for the idea, since you got one to downsize to and gave away? Bye!

i meant it’s like the one you bought and had one to give away as well! :/

I knew the song when I started reading. I’m glad I’m not the only one who changes the words to tunes to fit what I’m doing. Love it!! I’m always reorganizing things to make it more convient for me.

LOL, very clever and cute post! Great suggestion for organizing these little wonder workers! I use ’em all over my house too. 😉

My hooks are wallering around my junk drawer. 🙁

That is a great way to organize all those hooks. We use a lot of these hooks at our house as well. But, never have enough left to organize. 🙂
