Hi gang, how are you all? Today I started looking through all of last week’s menu plans from the bottom up. I got some great new easy recipes to try out this week. Whoot!
I’ll be heading to a blog conference this upcoming weekend called BlogWest in Edmonton, Canada. Considering my terrible luck with flying, I’m thankful this is one blog conference I can drive to even if it’s a little ways to go 🙂 My family selected the meal plan for the last half of the week while I’m away.
Recipe Highlight:
Last week’s favorite recipe belongs to the Turkey Meatloaf. Ours was actually chicken meatloaf because I couldn’t find ground turkey in my grocery store but gosh was it ever good and super easy to throw together. I highly recommend this one, tastiest meatloaf I’ve ever had!!
What was your favorite recipe from last week?
My Weekly Menu Plan:
Monday: Best Sloppy Joes Ever
Tuesday: Pesto Ranch Crockpot Chicken Thighs (thanks for the link Life Alphabetical) served with baked potatoes and broccoli
Wednesday: Tomato Basil Parmesan Soup in the Slow Cooker (thanks for the link Polka Dot Skies) served with grilled cheese sandwiches
Thursday: Leftover buffet
Friday: Oven Roast Chicken served with rice and corn
Saturday: Homemade Chicken Soup served with buns
Sunday: Picking night as my youngest likes to call it 🙂

Thanks for the recipe recommendation – I’ve yet to find a turkey meatloaf recipe I like! And as always, thank you for the linky 🙂

The meatloaf looks excellent! And, I love that you seem to do what I do when you make a chicken — day #2, go for soup. Do you make your own broth from the chicken as well?
Have a great week — thanks so much for hosting.

First time linking up! I’ve just recently started menu planning (consistently) and I can’t wait to find more ideas. I can’t believe it took me so long, b/c it makes dinner time so much easier! Thanks for hosting.

Looks like another week of delicious menus here! The Tomato Basil Parmesan soup catches my eye first, but then, the Pesto Ranch Chicken sounds so good, too!
I’ve brought my Gluten-Free Diet Menu Plan which includes four 30 minute meals. Every recipe is gluten-free, and some are also paleo, dairy-free, egg-free, sugar-free and/or refined sugar-free. These are recipes my whole family likes, including the gluten-eaters, too 🙂
Have a safe trip and a great time at the conference —

Have fun at the conference.
I have to fly next month and am already not looking forward to it. I used to fly several times a year but not often any longer. I much prefer driving when possible.
My menu plan had to be revised before I posted it. I forgot to put the crock pot together before leaving the house this morning! I’d love to hear everyone’s favorite emergency meal ideas for when the menu plan falls apart. http://realfoodforlessmoney.com/menu-week-of-march-3/

So happy I found this site!
I was beginning to think that my wife and I were the only people that planned their weekly menu. =)
I guess I’m an orgjunkie already?
Can’t wait to pour through some of your other articles!
Thanks!

Linking up on Tuesday since I didn’t plan until last night (better a late plan than no plan at all, I suppose). Thanks for hosting!

For sure Jean! Hope you have a great week 🙂

Oh holy yummy!!! I am SO making that tomato soup and we are going to fancy up the “grilled cheese”. We will use thick slices of french bread, Brie (my favorite) and I am going to create a garlic and herb butter to cook it with. I cannot WAIT for Sunday dinner! It will be superb!
