Hi ladies, here we are for another week of organized menu planning! I’m excited because we have a brand spanking new menu planning button as you can see, designed by the lovely Liz at Sweet Simplicity Designs. Isn’t it fun? Chalkboard prints are all the rage right now so I think it’s fun to have one for MPM. Feel free to use it if you like.
I’ve been busy this past week organizing my dining room which turned into organizing some kitchen cabinets which turned into organizing my big bathroom cabinet. It all started with some new cabinets. Can’t wait to show you! Here’s a little sneak peek :)
So as many of you know I gave up Diet Coke on March 1st. I still haven’t had any and it’s actually going okay. Then on March 10th I decided to give up wheat as well. I had done it 7 years ago for a year (for my youngest for the year I nursed him but that’s a whole other story) and never felt better. Unfortunately after the year I went back onto wheat. Then recently I was introduced to the Wheat Belly Cookbook and it was such an eye opener that I decided to do it again. In only two weeks I can’t even begin to tell you how much different I feel. I am no longer am feeling bloated, fatigued and even more importantly I’ve lost that horrible foggy head feeling. Incredible! I’ve been cooking gluten free (in addition to dairy, egg, fish and nuts) for 13 years for my middle son (13) who has severe food allergies so it wasn’t too bad of a transition. Whenever you see wheat in any of the recipes I select just know that I’m substituting a wheat free option instead.
You’ll notice on my menu plan this week that we aren’t having our Easter dinner until Easter Monday the following week. We normally have our big Easter dinner on the Sunday evening but my hubby is working. I’m curious when do you have your Easter dinner? Maybe both days? :)
