Hi everyone! Oh my goodness you’ll never guess how I got to spend my Sunday. Here’s a little hint for you:
Watching not one but TWO shows of the Live with Kelly show!! I’m still in shock about the whole thing. Kelly is doing four shows from my province of Alberta, not far from me in Banff. Banff is a beautiful ski town and I am in awe of how gorgeous it is. You’ll have to watch the show this week to see it for yourself. They do an amazing job of showing it off. Here are a couple of pictures of the majestic mountains that I took while walking down main street.
Anyway we had tickets for the second show but were able to get into the first show as well because so many ticket holders didn’t show up. Score for me! Kelly’s hubby Mark was her first co-host and Chris Harrison was her co-host for the Tuesday show.

The set was absolutely gorgeous!
So so very exciting!! And a huge thanks to my own hubby who had to take two days off work just to take me 🙂
Teach Your Kids to Cook
One of my blogging friends, Lynn from Lynn’s Kitchen Adventures recently wrote a new ebook that I had a chance to read and it is fantastic! I’m all about getting the kids into the kitchen helping out because why should mom have to do it alone. This is an awesome guide that includes many fun, kid-friendly recipes, many with step by step photos.
Teach them about…
- Measurements
- Tools and Common Ingredients
- How to Follow a Recipe
- How to Make Breakfast
- Snacks, Appetizers and Side Dishes
- Desserts and Treats
The regular price of this ebook is $4.99 which is a great deal but Lynn has decided to give my readers a super discount of 50% off making the ebook just $2.50!! To get this discount simply click on the button above and use the discount code MPM at checkout. Enjoy!!
My Weekly Menu Plan:

Very cool!!! I think she is so sweet! Thanks for the link up and have a great week. I planned my menu yesterday and had it scheduled to post this morning. Hubby saw the menu and said “it isn’t Cinco de Mayo”…oh crap! hahaha So my menu for the week is Cinco de Mayo and Easter. For some reason I was thinking May when I planned it. I’m not changing it. We are celebrating April 5th and May 5th lol

Thanks so much for hosting! I’m watching the Live with Kelly show right now. Talk about deja vu when I looked up and saw the exact scene with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Ha! That’s so fun that you got to go, I’m jealous! The view looks amazing. The Mister is from Canada and we want to plan a trip with the kids this next year. Have a wonderful Monday!

Quite a few years ago when we went to the Please Touch Museum in Philly, Kelly Ripka was there with one of her kids. (Not sure how many since it was awhile ago.) Anyhoo, my bil’s son hit Kelly Ripka’s kid and made them cry. We scurried away from the scene!
This week I’m sharing an entire menu plan for April, with the standard provision: subject to change thanks to schedules and the whim of the cook.

Oh, I’ve always wanted to visit Banff – and your pictures just seal the deal. 🙂 Maybe one day…
And how fun that you got to see a live show! The first few minutes of the Kelly show is usually part of my morning workout routine (treadmill- gotta have something to look at or I’ll go insane on that thing!), so I’ll see if I can spot you in the audience. 🙂

I’ll look for you in the audience! Fun stuff- and I love Canada. (Lived in BC when I was in High School)

How exciting! Banff is absolutely gorgeous. There is a fudge shop there that we ALWAYS stop at when in Banff for their amazing fudge and delicious caramel apples. Did you get to look around the Banff Springs hotel or go to the hot springs?
Laura says
We looked around some but gosh I didn’t see that store you mentioned and now I have a craving lol.
