I’ve partnered up with technology lifestyle expert Carley Knobloch, from Digitwirl, to bring you some fun yet informative videos on various products and services related to technology that will help you get organized.
Today’s Digitwirl:
As you know I just got back from holidays and gosh how I wish I’d seen this video before I left. These apps sure would have come in handy. They sound super helpful especially the restaurant app with the reviews. I love checking out new restaurants and I love good food but when I’m really hungry I don’t want to waste time just driving all over the place hoping to spot somewhere to eat that “looks” okay. The app Carly refers to does all the work for you. I like the sounds of that!! So check out the video below to see how you can make your summer trip just a little bit easier 🙂
Notes from Carly:
Whether you’re leavin’ on a jet plane or just road trippin’, there are so many incredibly useful (and delightfully free) apps out there to help make any adventure easier, and more fun than ever. They all use GPS technology which not only helps you find exactly what you’re interested in, but literally will lead you straight to it.
There’s nothing fishy about Goby, an app that’s like having a personal travel guide. One that knows everything that’s going on from high culture art exhibits, to off-the-beaten track hiking trails. Then, once you work up an appetite Yelp is our pick for the best app to help you find a great restaurants and see what others had to say about it. Perhaps a bit too much lemonade with lunch? Well then you’re going love the Sit or Squat app which will show you on a map where the closest commode is and whether or not you should walk the extra block to find a more suitable place to go when you really gotta go.
So check out this week’s Travel Tech Twirl (try saying that 3 times fast) for some of our favorite must-have apps.

I loved your suggested apps. One that I just downloaded for our trip to Europe next month is iTriage. It’s great because it is a symptom checker, but after you figure out what it could be it suggest what type of medical treatment you should seek (ER, doctor, urgent care). The best part for vacationers is that it uses the GPS in your phone in your phone to give you turn by turn directions to the closest medical center. Always smart to prepare for the worst when on vaca!

I ran across a great website for how to pack, and what to pack for a trip! http://www.onebag.com/ Bringing it all down to just one carry-on bag! 🙂
