If you are new to 52 Weeks of Organizing, catch up here!
While I’m enjoying some rest and relaxation I thought it might be a good time to remind you to do the same. You’ve been working hard and it’s so important to celebrate your accomplishments along the way. Look back over how far you’ve come and be proud of yourself. Whether your tasks take you 5 minutes or 60 each week, know that it all counts and contributes to your goal of an organized clutter free home.
So whether you reward yourself with a delicious novel, a glass of wine, a bubble bath, a piece or two of chocolate (all of the above anyone?) or even something a little more on the grand side, figure out a way to give yourself a pat on the back for making the decision to do something about your chaos and clutter as we continue to make our way through 52 weeks of organizing.
If you are still feeling overwhelmed with it all please do not be defeated and don’t look up. Just take it one week at a time and before you know it you’ll be on the other side. Hang in there!
Have a great weekend!!!

I’ve gone back and forth with myself on whether I am doing a post this week. I organized virtually nothing this week 🙁
It’s taking all I have to keep up the places that I have done over the past few weeks—and I’m not doing all that well at that.
It’s way too hard with 7 extra people in the house, 5 of them from the ages of 2-10 to work on organizing. It’s all my daughter and I can do to keep up with the every day messes.
To say it’s causing me some anxiety, is an under statement.

Hang in there! Taking a break isn’t so bad. Or maybe you could pick a small area to organize that only you use?

I just wanted to write a little note to tell you what happened to me today.
After 5 years being missing, I have located the back off of the TV remote control.
It feels good!
I have to keep going and keep the momentum. I can do it.
I check your posts every day, and try to do one thing inside the house or outside *besides the basics*
Thank you so much for inspiring me to get my house in order.

Tomorrow I have a much-needed hair appt. I am bringing a book and hope it takes a long-leisurely time. Ah, relaxation!

I feel like I have come pretty far, with lots of little steps it isn’t too overwhelming. This week I have been blogging about some other changes I have made in the last year. Reducing Media Usage in our home! Another type of decluttering! http://enjoybirth.com/blog/2011/07/22/the-benefits-of-being-media-free/
I did spend a few days this week helping my 13 year old go through, get rid of lots of stuff and organize his room. I will put pictures on my blog next week!

I never thought in my life that people would refer to me, Jaimie, as the organization freak! Over the past several months, I tackled closet clutter, organized our home office, created a family file box, and started an entry command station. Having a sense for organizing has allowed me to keep track of all my teaching instruments and research, as well as begin couponing to the extreme! I grew up with my mother cleaning my room and practically doing the same once I moved to a dorm. Now, with a family and home of my own, I am so excited to know that I can manage the clutter and cut down the chaos, without outside help. While my house is rarely spotless, it’s almost always fifteen minutes away from being company-ready! Thank you SO much Laura for such an inspirational blog.

Hi there, a backlink simply means that you haven’t linked back to me in your post to say your are participating. Once you add the link you should be fine. Thanks so much!! Laura
