Happy Friday everyone! If you are new to 52 Weeks of Organizing you can catch up on all the previous posts here! Please know that this link up every week is not only for those participating in this weekly challenge but also for those that have an organizing post of inspiration they’d like to share as well.
Empty space, empty space, oh da do da day! So cool!
Like I mentioned in my linen closet post earlier this week, sometimes we need leave a little empty space in our lives instead of having every nook and cranny crammed to the fullest. For some reason we are alarmed by the empty space. We are compelled to fill it. Those shelves and countertops, they call out to us. However just for a time, embrace it. You’ll feel lighter, not so congested and chaotic. Take a deep breath. Notice the difference?
My challenge to you this week is to carve out some empty space for yourself (even if it’s only tiny) to embrace and enjoy. A closet, a drawer or a flat surface. Give yourself some breathing room.
Have a wonderfully organized week my friends!!
Please feel free to share your organizing journey and encourage one another in the comments. You are also invited to link up to the linky below with any posts related to your 52 weeks of organizing participation or to any post of an organizing nature that you feel will inspire and encourage others in their quest to get organized. Please remember to link back to here though so we can reach out to as many people as possible in need of some inspiration.
One other thing to consider: by including your link below you, you are giving me permission to use parts of your post including pictures as a spotlight in future 52 Weeks of Organizing posts. Proper credit and links will of course be provided. If you are not okay with this please do not link up. Thanks!

Hi Laura, I’m new to your site. Really love it.
I was wondering if you had any ideas or solutions for how to organize/store board games who’s boxes have been trashed. I keep my eyes open but have never seen plastic storage boxes the same size that would hold the board. I’m in Ontario so if you’ve seen any at Canadian stores, I would likely have access. Thanks and keep up the great blog!

Hi Leslie, I think you mean something like this right:

Unfortunately I can’t find a Canadian source. Will definitely keep my eyes open though.

Laura,
Thanks for featuring my closet! I purged it in preparation for a big community lawn sale. Ahhh…wonderful feeling afterward.

Thanks for the inspiration. I can’t wait till school is out (I teach) so I will have more time to tackle my BIG projects. I’ve only had some time to do little projects, which is better than nothing. Thanks for the motivation, too!

Oh wow, seeing the differences on these pics really is something. I can clean up and organize everything perfectly from time to time too. But I can never keep it like that for more than a few days. How do you do it?
