and here is a picture of mine below that I’ve posted before. I’ve since re-organized it a bit more but you get the idea. See the white Tupperware containers with green lids on the bottom shelf…one holds our coffee filters and one holds the ground coffee. We keep the coffee grinder in behind these containers.
While I’m here I’ve just got to show you my most awesome tea container:
It keeps my tea bags divided nicely and lets me get rid of the boxes. I just cut the box label off and stick it in the front so I know which is which. I believe I got this one from Regal. Looks like I need more tea!
Other tea bags I just sort this way:
Where possible, getting rid of the original boxes will save you so much space!

An organized Beverage Station! It sounds so Bed-and-Breakfast. I love it! Thanks for the pictures too. Very inspiring.

We both work out of the house and don’t drink coffee, however I do set up a beverage station similar to this when we do have company so that our guests can help themselves to any beverage even if we aren’t yet awake. Since most of our guests come in from the East Coast they tend to wake up earlier than we do. It works great!

I have the same kind of station, it looks like in the same kind of cupboard!LOL
I love the tea organizer from Regal, I’m going to get my MIL to get me one.
Thanks for sharing!

Oooh, I love this idea, Laura! Thanks for sharing. I’m going to go check out your other kitchen organization links now. 🙂

I love the idea of a beverage station! And I love the way your tea bags are organized. Thanks for sharing! =)

Laura, mine is just above my kettle.
I love that tea organiser.
I’ve been using a different (small) mug to keep a small supply in the cupboard and I leave my boxes in the pantry. My kitchen is weird – the kitchen itself has only normal cupboards, then there’s a foyer-type thing and then the pantry cupboards are in the laundry. Sounds weird – I will have to post pictures.

That is SO smart! I am going to borrow this idea and finally get my millions of tea bags organized!

Great idea, thanks for sharing.

What an awesome idea! I’m going to head to my cupboards and start today. Now only if I had my new camera – I could take before and after. Maybe I’ll wait. This would be a fun entry to write about.
Thanks for all the great ideas!

For once, I think I can say, “Wow, I’m already doing that!!” to most of these. My coffee cups, filters, coffee etc, are right above the coffee pot. My tea bags are in a basket like you showed (although I like that sorter thingie, too).

What a great idea! I have a place for all the coffee stuff, but I never thought of applying it across the board like you have. I have to do this today, Thanks! I think I know just the right place to do it too…time get to work organizing!

I created a beverage station for my hubby and he loves it. It so much easier. I love that tea organizer thing. We could use that!

I have something similar in my kitchen cabinet. (I think we were separated at birth). I use a tall cannister for my tea bags since I only drink one kind of tea. They can just go in there any old way. I will have to post pictures soon so you can see how similar the set up is.
Have a great day!

I have a couple beverage stations in my house — one for tea and coffee and one for soda and drink mixers. One of the best things I ever did. I put my tea bags in a little basket — you are so right about getting rid of the original boxes of tea bags!

It took me 6 years to realize this was even a possibility! lol It’s such a timesaver and I love the station you made for your friend!

Great idea… I have about 20 boxes of tea calling my name 🙂

What do you do with the lids to containers that you aren’t using? I’ve traditionally put them all in a place where I would be able to find them later, but right now that’s in the attic, and that makes it hard to get a lid if I’m re-assigning a particular box. Got any ideas for me? Thanks!
Lynn says
Does the teabag stay fresh sitting out in the container??? What about the smell… Does the smell from one tea go into another if they are all in the same container?
I love to drink tea, and I have about 5 boxes that I would love to get rid of, but I wouldn’t want there to be cross over of odor/taste.
org junkie says
Hi Lynn, there is a clear lid on the tea container to keep the tea fresh. I’m not sure about the smell because so far I’ve only kept regular tea, green tea and decaf regular tea in it. Seems to work out really well for us.

Hi Sarah,
Not sure what you mean about lids? Like plastic food storagee type lids? Right now I use a doo dad from Tupperware that keeps my lids all standing up nicely and I keep this next to the containers. Email me if for clarification if I didn’t answer your question.

I’ve had my beverage center for a couple of years now, but you caught me flat-footed with the idea of discarding all of those multiple tea boxes!! I like a wide-variety of teas, but all of those boxes do take up a ton of room. I’ve been keeping them in a small dishpan, but I can find a smaller container for just the bags! Thanks for the light bulb moment!

GREAT choice in coffee, my friend! I have the same type of narrow cupboard that I use for all of my coffee/tea/cocoa/filters, etc. Some make fun of me. I just look at *them* weird. 😀
