I’m nervous…..how did I end up here I ask myself. Do I really belong here? Will I fit in? What will people think of me? I long to be accepted. Will they like me for me…..the freak…..you know the lady that LOVES to organize. Some of you know that a day is not a day unless I’ve organized something… anything…I need it….I go mad searching, searching, anything, room, closet, cupboard, drawer, anything….I do my thing…..empty…..purge…..containerize…..
assemble…. only then, when I see my finished work, do I feel calm. I sigh and everything is right with the world….until……I need my next fix and the cycle continues. It’s harmless…..really…..I can stop anytime…..I know I could…..maybe……most likely not.
I’m standing anxiously before you now introducing myself…..
My name is Laura and I’m an Organizing Junkie.

Hello Laura…my name is Chrissa and I aspire to be an organizing junkie!! Love the post!

Oh, and I forgot to tell you. I bought some new night light bulbs and I put them in my 4 drawer caddie…lovely! I’ll be moving the batteries there shortly. Thanks to you I’ll never lose the night light bulbs again!!!

Hello Laura!!! Glad I can call you by name now!!!

Laura, you are so funny! I come here to be inspired. I think in an organized way – I just fall off on the delivery part.
I was pleased when I saw “my” light bulb and battery drawer thing on your last post. Mine is not so big, but it made me feel good that I could claim to have thought of (and actually followed through on my thought!) something an org junkie recommended! Maybe there is hope for me after all!

Sister you crack me up. The first step is admitting your problem and then fixing it..lol.

Hi, Laura. It’s nice to meet you! I have org junkie tendencies, but they have been repressed lately by the chaos that is trying to overtake my house since the arrival of my daughter one year ago. I look forward to reading more of your posts, and putting some tips to use.

July 24- Hi Laura, I am so happy that you finally came out but hey I am enjoying your blog anyways. I check in every day since you gave me the address. My youngest wants to hire you to organize her house. Us girls have all read your blog. You know who recognized the kids backpacks hanging up. This is fun Talk to you later…Nana H

Hi Laura,
you are my inspiration!!! I am trying to get my house organised, but it seems such a MONUMENTAL task, so I keep putting it off! You’ve got me thinking that if I start anywhere, with something small, I can slowly build up and really make a difference in my house (and stop my german husband from having a nervous breakdown- his parents are the neatest people I know, and I’m sure see my messy home as a major character flaw!) Onward and upward, I say. I plan to start with my kiddies toys which are currently dumped willy nilly in some plastic crates. Wish me luck!

Hi! Thanks for the note on my blog about helping get organized. 🙂 I can’t wait to see all your pics. I liked the long bin with drawers. I saw one here on craigslist.com but made myself not buy it…now wish I had! 🙂

Hello Laura, I wish we lived closer so I could learn from you HOW to organize, without getting distracted.
I found you through Gibee and I’m going to have to dig deeper (if it appears you’re being lurked) and read some of your tips/stories!

Hi Laura! You organizing is inspiring. I’ve got plenty of things over here you could organize if you run out of stuff at your place…
Shalee says
Hey Laura! I’m Shalee and I’m in no way organized. You should be able to help with that. But maybe not. I think it is a chromosone I inherited from my mom. Some people are naturally blonde; I’m naturally disorganized.
Nice to OFFICIALLY meet you though.
Side note: Why is my word verification a diviant of “pervert”? How did it know me so well?! (Not to scare you are anything…)
Heather Smith says
You would be such good friends with my cousin Christy. She also has joined organizing anonymous. But since I just gave you her name it’s not really anonymous anymore! But seriously, you remind me of her! I just hopped over from GiBee’s! I’ll be back! TTYL!

Rachel says
Good for you, Laura!
I’m an organizing junkie, too, so when I saw the name of your blog I KNEW I would love it. And you have not disappointed me in the least. 🙂
Mom2fur says
Hello, Laura! My name is Mom2Fur and I’m not exactly a junkie, but close enough! There are things I can’t control very well–how fast my debt disappears (fast? riiigght…), how much laundry there is, what my kids will do with their lives–well, you know how long these lists are. I think what makes ‘organizing’ so much fun is that it puts you in control of at least ***something*** from your life! I have bookmarked your blog and will enjoy perusing it!
