Hi everyone, I hope you are all enjoying these days leading up to Christmas without too much stress. Since I haven’t done it in years, today I thought I’d share some of my Christmas decor with you. As you’ll see, I’m not a neutral girl at all. I do love pops of red and green and gold. And while I don’t go crazy with Christmas decorations, because clutter makes me batty, I do have a few special things we always put up each year. Welcome to my home!
We always get a real tree each year. This year is our biggest one yet at 9.5 feet.
Since we buy our kids an ornament every year, our tree has a LOT of ornaments that look just like these ones. Because nothing says Christmas like Spiderman and Darth Vader, ha!
Luckily with such a big tree I can still fit on some of the ornaments I’ve also made over the years.
We also put up a Christmas village each year right in front of the window that is really special to us.
And of course my beloved nativity scene. I just purchased the 3-tier stand today at Canadian Tire (all their Christmas stuff is 50% off!) and I love how it looks with all my special pieces and lights. A bit different.
Some of you might remember my cute snowman that hangs at the top of our stairs year after year. I got him at a craft fair many moons ago. Love him!
Star lights going down my stairs.
The ledge above my entryway. Lights are on timers since it’s so high up and I can’t reach it without a ladder.
My sweet Bella girl’s favorite spot to lay. The pillow is from Winners.
I covered our living room picture with wrapping paper this year just to be wild and crazy 🙂
Here’s our stocking holder (we don’t have a fireplace) even though we totally don’t use stockings in our home but sacks instead 🙂 I tried to convince the kids we should switch to stockings now that they are older but I got a firm NO on that one lol. I got the holder from a local gift store.
At the top of my stairs.
My dining room hutch.
On my dining room doors.
Thank you so much for coming along on this little tour of my home with me today. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas. As a Christian I’ll be celebrating the birth of my Savior, a tiny baby born in a manger, who came to save us from our sins. I watched this video on Facebook yesterday and it’s just such a beautiful version of this song and wanted to share it with you here.
Merry Christmas everyone!
With love,
Laura

We do the same – buy the kids an ornament every year. We have quite the array – from Barbie to Harry Potter, Star Wars to Twilight.

It’s crazy but you know I think I’ll really miss it when they are no longer on the tree. So for now I enjoy Mr. Vader lol

Beautiful, thanks for sharing- the decor and the song! As young as our child is, he already remembers traditions and doesn’t want to change anything:] Here’s to 2017!

Thank you for the tour! I love your idea of displaying your nativity on the stand – I’m pinning this post to remind myself of that for next year! 🙂 Loved how cozy and festive everything looks.
