Hey friends, how are you? A couple of years ago I really got out of the habit of using cookbooks. In fact I actually got rid of so many of my cookbooks at one point as I just wasn’t using them anymore. Instead Pinterest became my go to place to find many of my weekly recipes for my menu plan. But lately I’ve been gravitating back to cookbooks. There is just something about thumbing through a cookbook especially now that I follow a very specific diet. This week I picked a recipe from Danielle Walker’s Against All Grain Meals Made Simple cookbook (affiliate link).
Don’t these Rosemary-Lemon Pork Chops look so good.
Previous Week Recipe Highlight:
These Herb & Garlic Chicken Drumsticks were so delicious, a new family favorite for sure! So easy too, I love recipes that can be thrown together in less than 5 minutes and then thrown in the oven to cook. Gives me time for a nap while I wait 🙂 Serve them up with a quick spinach salad using pre-washed bagged spinach, add maybe some strawberries and sliced almonds and you’ve got yourself a super quick and easy meal. Yum! Unfortunately I forgot to take a picture for you because I was just too busy eating it all up.
My Weekly Menu Plan:
Monday: Thai Shrimp Salad
Tuesday: Rosemary-Lemon Pork Chops (from the above cookbook) served with baked potatoes and broccoli
Wednesday: Sticky Honey Garlic Chicken Wings served with tossed salad
Thursday: Leftover buffet
Friday: Pizza Party Friday Night! and for me Paleo Avocado Omelet
Saturday: Taco Stuffed Sweet Potatoes
Sunday: Father’s Day dinner out!
Have a wonderful week everyone!!

I love Pinterest for inspiration, but I still love my cookbook collection. Having a hard copy to look at is easier than continually looking at my ipad. Thanks for hosting the meal plan each week. I’lm going to check out your cookbook recommendation.

I agree about cookbooks. It got rid of many of mine as well. I went looking for one of my cookbooks this weekend and apparently I got rid of it in my cookbook purge. 🙁
Laura Wittmann says
Oops, yes that does happen sometimes.

I love this Menu Plan Monday setup! I just found this and am thrilled to now just be catching on :). I wrote my own free menu plan (The “No Plan” Menu Plan http://www.moderncommonplacebook.com/no-plan-menu-plan/) awhile back and LOVE reading what other people do. Thanks!
