These are excellent tips! Makeup is my nemesis (well one, anyway!) ; I start to clean out my makeup drawer and find all kinds of things I really like, but had forgotten about. So very little gets tossed because I always think I’ll start using it all again. Receipts are also a problem, my purse is filled with them. Those are easy to toss, but I just need to do it more often!

While you are dumping photographs you must back up your favourites. Print out a few as well. Send some to family members. I’m afraid that this generation will one day be without photographs, having lost the digital ones in a crash.

Yes! I agree 100% it’s very important to back up anything you want to keep, great reminder!

Thanks for all of these great tips. I just started tossing receipts this month; when I balance my checkbook, I finally throw away the receipts! I’m cleaning my closet this week, so I’ll need to remember to get rid of things I think I’ll wear someday, although it will be hard.

It will be hard, but I know you can do it!!!

Such good tips! Saying no to free samples has made a huge difference in slowing the flow of junk that enters our house.

Free samples are not really free, they end up costing us time and energy. Good job!
