Hi everyone! How was your weekend? I can’t believe tomorrow is December 1st! I always like to put up my tree on December 1st but since we put up a real one we won’t get a chance to go cut one down until Saturday. I’ve checked the weather for the weekend and it’s suppose to be 0 degrees Celcius (32 degrees F) out which is super warm for us here Northerners. For the past three years we’ve done it at -25 degree C. temps so this year will be a welcome change!! Who else does a real tree?
My husband and I got a rare day out without kids this past Saturday. We went shopping in the city a couple of hours away and even got to have lunch and dinner out, what a treat! It was so nice just to take our time and not feel rushed by bored kiddos lol. The very best part though was enjoying a warm cup of Teavana Joy tea from Starbucks (this stuff is amazing!) and finding my beloved chocolate bars (made with coconut sugar!) on sale for 35% off at Shoppers Drug Mart. Bliss! The small town we live in has neither of those stores so what a treat 🙂
Cyber Monday Sales:
Also in case you didn’t see my post before this one, you do not want to miss out on this awesome Cyber Monday Sale for peace of mind when it comes to monitoring your kid’s internet usage. I am so excited about this one!! Find out how you can take the stress out of parenting HERE.
Also if you haven’t had a chance yet to pick up Plan to Eat at 50% off you still can because the sale continues for one last day today! Plan to Eat is a menu planning and recipe subscription service that assists you with your daily menu planning. It gives you the freedom of selecting your own recipes and then stores and organizes them permanently for you all in one place. Plan to Eat allows you to easily import recipes from popular recipe websites which is what I love best about it, no having to worry about inputting recipes by hand (although you can if you want to enter old family recipes). Then all you need to do is drag and drop them into your menu planning calendar each week, print off your calendar if you chose AND as well print off a complete shopping list based on your chosen recipes. It’s absolutely brilliant and organized, I highly recommend it! New yearly subscriptions will cost only $19.50 ($1.60/month). Would also make a great Christmas gift! More information HERE.
My Weekly Menu Plan:

We used to do a real tree, but my little asthmatics can’t handle it anymore. So now we use a simple fake tree. I’m ok with the process being simplified anyway! Have a great week.

I was just getting ready to do my menu plan. If I do those eggs benedict with the bacon mats, my boys are going to steal my food! Love your menu plan. I’m giving up dairy for these two months so I know how you feel to find chocolate you can eat! My favorite is a dark chocolate with cherries, so good.

We don’t do a real tree but I’ve been thinking about it this year as your pre-lit tree is on it’s last legs.
Janet says
Make that “our” pre-lit tree.

We did a real tree when we lived where we could cut one down in the forest. This year, we’re going to be shopping for an artificial tree. Real is my preference. 🙂
