Hey there friends! So as many of you probably know by now, I’m an all or nothing kind of gal. When I get my mind fixated on something it’s pretty much impossible to turn it off. Seriously I obsess and right now I am OBSESSING about a number of random things that I feel I must dump on share with you 🙂
One of my biggest obsessions right now is baseball tees (told you this was going to be random!). Not boring plain baseball tees mind you but the cute ones I’m seeing all over Instagram right now with fun and inspiring sayings and pictures on them. I blame my blog friend (and contributor!) Kristin on this one. She wears them all the time in her Youtube videos and she is just so cute and I want to be cute too! 🙂
Here’s why I’m obsessing though….because they are no where to be found in Canada!! Not that I can find anyway. They all seem to be for sale in the US and with the dollar difference right now it doesn’t make sense to place a US order. I’m totally stalking people around here too…if I see someone wearing one I always go up and ask where they got it and always I’m told they got it while on holiday in the US!! My husband thinks I’m off my rocker but after 27 years together (20 married) he is used to my wacky obsessions by now…ha!
Something else I can’t get enough of that my husband can’t understand is Dancing with the Stars!!! I just love this show but the last couple of seasons they have concentrated more on the journey of the stars (and pros!) throughout the season which makes it so much more interesting to watch. It’s so beautiful to see and I’m always crying my eyes out. My favorite pro is Derek because his choreography is so spot on. I love to dance and I love music and nothing makes me crazier than a wasted beat! Derek never wastes the beats and nails it week after week. This season his partner is 17 year old Bindi Irwin, whose father was the well known crocodile hunter, Steve Irwin. Recently she honored her father in a dance which I’ve embeded below. So so beautiful!! Monday nights make me just giddy with delight 🙂
Want to know what else delights me? Reading and boy did I ever take advantage of the Thanksgiving holiday this past Monday and read all live long day! I love when a book is so good you can’t put it down. That happened to me last month when I read JoJo Moyes book, Me Without You* (awesome!) and this time it was her book titled One Plus One*.
So good! I had a million and one things to do but sometimes a day just calls for curling up with a cup of tea and a fantastic book. Am I right?
For non-fiction books I’m obsessing about, look what came in the mail today!
I am such a huge fan of Laura Vitale and her Youtube cooking channel, Laura in the Kitchen, and this is her first cookbook*. She is the real deal, down to earth, silly and fun. She also has a vlogging Youtube channel that I never miss as well. I don’t even know if there are any recipes in the cookbook that I can eat, with all my restrictions, but I don’t even care. I am just so happy for her and wanted to buy the cookbook to support her and all she has accomplished. Just so great!
Finally I have one more obsession that isn’t available in Canada. Why Canada, why do you do this to me? The Pioneer Woman has a new line of dishes out, exclusively at Walmart, that are AMAZING!! Really fun colors and patterns that are totally up my dish loving alley. Look at these measuring cups!! You can see the entire line HERE (no affiliation) but it looks like much of it is out of stock. No surprise there!
So those are my current totally random obsessions! Would love to hear what you are obsessing with these days?

My obsession is clothes buying. I’ve bought a few things and even a wallet that my smartphone will actually fit into. That was my biggest thrill in finding the wallet, even tho it’s black, last week and exchanging a shirt. Then went back yesterday to hunt down a long sweater I thought about buying and it was still there, at TJMaxx, which is just a few blocks from my house! Now I have to be good and cut the spending on clothes…well still looking for a few things. Yes I’m getting rid of a few clothes and moving what I wore to certain places, into my work wardrobe so I can wear the new items. Does that make sense? Ree’s items are so lovely. I have a skillet and one cup..that’s all I brought home with me! I might buy a couple other items though later! Thanks for sharing your obsession with us!

Love your obsessions and I’m horrified that Bindi is already 17. I used to write about Steve Irwin as a great example of passion being inspiring to others 🙂
As are you with your baskets 🙂 🙂
My obsessions are currently jacarandas, rain (!!!!), my floors, and the Konmari book!
