The following is a guest post from regular contributor, Sharon at Mom of 6.
On our weekends, we spend a fair amount of time as a family hanging out at sports fields. And while our main reason for being there is to cheer on our son or daughter who is playing soccer (as well as for their entire team)… the reality is that I will also need to simultaneously keep a gaggle of siblings happy as well. So aside from tossing $20 bills to the ice cream man to keep my kids content, and sending them off to the playground for yet another hour…. I need to have a back-up plan. Preferably one that sits in my car, just waiting for the right moment to be called into action. Perhaps you do too….
Which is why it is good to have your car organized for the start of the kids’ sports season!
So what did I forget? Are there any other items that you like to tuck into the back of your car during the kids’ sports season? Please leave a comment and share!
If you get a chance, I hope you’ll stop by to see me at Momof6 – a place where I write about organizing your home, using a family calendar, creating household routines, hosting at-home birthday parties, and holding a DIY summer camp! Great tips! My daughter is SO not a fan of her brother’s baseball games and practices but usually has to come along due to my hubby’s work schedule. She usually packs some books and it keeps her happy for about 1/2 the time. Electronics help too 🙂

Another thing that worked for us last year was the Rainbow Loom. My younger ones would bring their kits and before long, other kids would come over and they would be making bracelets with all of the players’ younger siblings!

I have an SUV like your husband. What are those bungees that cross? Looks like something I need!

I love the use of bungee cords in the back on the metal areas to keep things contained & safer in even t of an accident!

Our boys are so close in age that they were usually involved in the same activities at the same time, but I always admired the parents who were able to keep their whole family entertained during games. I can’t even imagine managing six!
