Hi friends, sorry for the delay getting this post up.  There was a glitch in WordPress with the most recent update but the amazing Cathy over at WordPress Barista, who has been a huge help to me for years, got me up and running again lickety split.  Thanks Cathy!

So before I get into my favorite organizing links for this week I am super excited to share one of my favorite things from this past week.  My blog friend Becky, over at Clean Mama, has written a new book that releases TODAY!  I got a preview copy of it and it’s fantastic.  It’s called The Organically Clean Home, 150 Everyday Organic Cleaning Products You Can Make Yourself – The Natural, Chemical-Free Way.

I am always looking for ways to clean without chemicals and have gathered recipes from here and there over the years but it so nice to have a complete collection all in one compact soft cover book.  These aren’t complicated recipes either, they are super easy without a lot of weird ingredients.  All you need are a few simple kitchen staples (and some essential oils) and you’re ready to go.  We have hard water in my part of this Canadian country and it leaves such a mess in my sinks and tub area.  I have tried so many harsh chemicals and nothing would touch it.  Then I used Becky’s tip (from the book) to use distilled white vinegar as a rust remover and would you believe it, it really works!!  Vinegar took all the gunk away without any scrubbing, that was the best part!  The instructions are in her book on page 100 :)

Now I can’t wait to try some of her other tips.  And for me to get excited about cleaning, while that in itself is a bit of a miracle :)

Here are a couple more ideas and cleaning recipes Becky has shared on her blog to give you an idea of what you’ll find in the book.

The Organically Clean Home is a great book!  You can find it for sale at your local bookstore or on Amazon HERE.
