Welcome back! Okay so how are things going? If your kids are back to school now and you are trying to focus on getting organized, menu planning is the best place to start. Just wait until you see the difference it makes in your life, amazing! Start simply by finding three easy recipes (here’s a few of mine) and then go out and buy the necessary ingredients. Then it’s up to you which day you decide to plug those meals into. The trick is picking easy and quick recipes that won’t overwhelm you at dinner time when you’re tired and cranky. Because let’s face it that’s what happens when the clock turns 4:00 and kids are melting down around you. Yuck. Having a menu plan each week has been a lifesaver for me, I can’t stress that enough. Here are a couple of resources to help you out:

Organizing Leftovers:
Did you know you can organize your leftovers? For sure! Might make your life so much easier. Check out Angie’s post here.
Recipe Highlight:
My favorite meal last week was soooo good. I highly recommend these Hawaiian Tacos!! Be warned though that this recipe requires a little more chopping prep. Don’t cook them on a busy night or prepare the salsa earlier in the day when you have more time. Yummy!!
My Weekly Menu Plan:
Monday: Chicken Pesto
Tuesday: Slow Cooker Honey Maple BBQ Ribs missed from last week
Wednesday: Family-Pleasing Sloppy Joes Recipe
Thursday: Leftover buffet
Friday: Crockpot Macaroni and Cheese served with sausage and corn
Saturday: Roasted Tomato BLT
Sunday: Picking Night!

Thanks for those cute menu planning sheets! I might just laminate one for my fridge. I do hope you enjoy the roasted tomato BLTs. They are one of our favorites. The roasted tomatoes make it over-the-top delicious.

Hi Laura, It’s my first time here. I meal plan (and blog) gluten free and mostly free of major allergens. Thanks so much for hosting!

Love those printables and those Hawaiian Tacos look fabulous. Have a great week!

My goal this school year is to tame my leftovers. Ideally, I’d love to not have any! But since I don’t see that happening — mainly because I chronically overcook — taming them will have to suffice.
{Off to check out Angie’s post!}

Thank you so much for sharing my leftover post again and so sorry about the spelling mistake! I was going to write ‘potatoes’ instead of ‘potato salad’ and that is where the boo-boo happened! If I had to do it over again, I would have started off with a new piece of tape. So sorry that people were so offended by it! Have a great week and talk soon! Angie xo

Hi, I’ve been wanting to download your weekly meal plan template as its the best one I’ve seen but the link takes me to a HTML site with no reference to the download 🙁
Is there any chance you could email it to me?
I would be ever so grateful! 🙂

I’m sorry, it looks like that particular blog with the printables is no longer available. I will update this post.
