Hi friends, welcome back to another organized week with a menu plan! A BIG thanks to Melanie for guest hosting for me last week, it was so nice not to have to worry about anything while away on vacation.
I’m glad to be back although I definitely miss Maui and all the delicious meals I had there. Oh my goodness was the food ever good, in fact we didn’t have one bad meal the entire trip which was amazing. Some of my favorite places to eat were Fred’s Mexican in Kihei, Cafe O’Lei in Kihei, Kimo’s in Lahaina, Cheeseburger Island Style in Wailea and the Coconut’s Fish Cafe in Kihei. Here are a few pictures:
I had the swordfish at Kimo’s.
I had the BEST fish tacos at Coconut’s Fish Cafe. Oh my I’m still dreaming of these.
This macadamia nut chicken dish at Cafe O’Lei was out of this world.
This spinach shrimp salad sprinkled with macadamia nuts and coconut served with a honey poppyseed dressing was so delicious!! Can you tell I was loving on the macadamia nuts? 🙂
And of course nothing says vacation like a yummy umbrella drink!
Another popular treat on the island is shaved ice, not to be confused with a snow cone (they are different!). Look how pretty!
I hope I didn’t bore you too much with pictures of what I ate. I always love to see where people recommend to eat on holidays especially when the all the choices are simply overwhelming. So if you are planning a trip to Maui any time soon, maybe this will help 🙂
Have a great week everyone!

We went to Kimo’s too last year when we were in Maui. Loved the view from the deck. I felt like everywhere we went had a beautiful view of the ocean. It was definitely hard to come home. The restaurants around me just do not compare.

The food from your vacation looks amazing!!! And that shaved ice is something we would love. We do call them snow cones here in Texas. 🙂
Laura says
They are totally different Crystal, no chunks of ice at all 🙂

I love doing a leftover buffet! Usually my plate ends up looking pretty random but it is a great way to clean out the fridge and make sure food doesn’t go to waste. 🙂
