You know it’s love when your husband goes away on a business trip and brings you home a basket! And not just any basket either but a wicker basket handmade in France….which really is neither here nor there for me but gosh was he ever excited about that fact 🙂
The funniest part of this whole story though lies in the fact that he neglected to have the basket put into a bag at the store and it wasn’t until he started getting some funny looks walking around the mall did he realize that the basket he purchased for me looks very much like a PURSE!
Yep that husband of mine walked the entire mall with this basket in his hand amidst the sideways glances of those he passed. And….after that he went to the movies at the mall and they let him in for free. It could only be because they were so impressed with his “bag”.
I won’t be using my beautiful new basket for a purse but I will be using it as my brand new crochet basket in place of the one my daughter took over for her homeschooling books.
So pretty and functional and portable. I love it!
Thanks dear!

A funny but touching story. Your basket is nice and so glad husband thought of you enough to buy you a basket and didn’t care what other people thought of him when he carried it w/o a sack. Who needs a sack if it already had handles on it? Glad you like it. Who wouldn’t! Have a great week!

Not a purse – a man purse!! 🙂
