So here we meet again!! Gosh the weeks seem to go so fast don’t they? Last week was especially crazy busy for me as it was Vacation Bible School week at my church. It was exhausting but so worth it. We used a program called Inside Out and Upside Down on Main Street. Has anyone else done that one? My role was to play the part of Heidi-Claire, Super Sleuth Extraordinaire!
As I was preparing my menu for this week I asked my Facebook friends for recipe link suggestions. Thankfully they didn’t let me down and saved me a pile of work too 🙂 I love Facebook as an organized interaction tool, way more so than Twitter. So if you haven’t checked out the I’m an Organizing Junkie Facebook Page come on over and say hi!
Oh and if you haven’t entered yet to win one of these fabulous Cansolidators to help organize your pantry, it’s not too late. Click on this link to enter to win.
My menu for the week:
Monday: Grilled Cheeseburger Wrap
Tuesday: Parmesan Garlic Crusted Chicken
Wednesday: Potatoes and Turkey Sausage (I’ll also add some chopped red peppers for veggie)
Thursday: Leftover buffet
Friday: Easy Homemade Pizza
Saturday: Breakfast for dinner ~ Whole Wheat Blueberry Buttermilk Pancakes
Sunday: Picking night!
WHAT’S ON YOUR MENU PLAN THIS WEEK?
Menu Plan Monday guidelines and banner selections are here.

You look so cute! Sounds like a fun VBS program. Our church here doesn’t do VBS… :(.
Your menu looks great! I’m off to check out those cheeseburger wraps.

You have a great week here! The cheeseburger wraps are a wonderful idea – sometimes you just don’t want all that bun.
We also make a parm crusted chicken, but serve it with a white chive & onion cream cheese sauce and brown rice. I took at peek at the recipe you have linked and that looks really great too, and different with a red sauce.
I’ve found Facebook to be really helpful with respect to interacting with bloggers — much better than Twitter, at least from my perspective, too!

Love that picture of you!
So I have officially got my family dependent on a menu plan! Last week they “thought” they wanted a no-plan week but half way through the week it was apparent that they couldn’t handle the chaos that comes from Mom not having a plan. Victory is mine and the menu plan is back on the refrigerator!
It’s going to be a great week!

VBS is so much fun. Unfortunately I’ve had to sit the last couple ones out.
Those cheeseburger wraps looks tasty and would be a fun change from the usual.
Thanks for hosting.

Your VBS sounds so fun! My kids are back in school already… where did summer go?
Jami @ An Oregon Cottage says
Adorable picture, Laura – looks like a great memory! Like Toni, our church doesn’t do VBS either- they’ve got a camp they run all summer long – but our old church did and I think it’s a great thing. 🙂
Have a great week!

Your blog has been very helpful to me.
I know you are super busy but I hope you have time to answer my question.
Are you still using Say Mmm and do you still find it helpful?
I have set up a free account and have listed some meal ideas and input some recipes with shopping items. All this takes time and I want to make sure it is worth the time!
I just tried to make my first shopping list from my recipes and a couple of recipe titles showed up as items on my grocery list! It definitely could be me, but did want to make sure you (or others–I would appreciate anyone’s comments) are still finding it useful. (And I have sent an email to Say Mmm to try to figure out what I did wrong.)
And I will be back later to add my menu plan for the week. I really need this discipline. Meals are a major stressor in my life and my kids are always hungry!
Thanks.

It’s back to school week in our house plus my daughter’s birthday week so things are crazy-hectic. I need menu plans more than ever for weeks like these. Tha
I have to agree with everyone – love the hat!

My kids went to the same program, but ours was the 1st week of June – they sang “Inside out and upside down on Main Street” spontaneously together for about 6 weeks!
Renee says
We did Inside Out and Upside Down on Main Street, too! It was so fun…I was part of the music, showing the kids all the moves to go along with the songs…still remember it (kinda hard when you hear it over and over and over….)
Tammy @ Skinny Mom's Kitchen says
Laura I am honored that you chose to try out my cheeseburger wraps!! You will love them! We are also having them tonight. This is such an easy recipe to make and taste BETTER than takeout.
I am finishing up the recipe of my menu plan now and will get it posted soon.
Have a great week lady and see you on FB 🙂

I didn’t get to put that I’m new next to my name, I was thinking I’d be able to do that in the “next step” can I edit?
Living the Balanced Life says
Our menu this week is juice, juice and more juice! Since it is just hubby and I now, we decided to do a 5 day juice fast. We did a 5 day fruit and veggies only first.
I can’t believe I had not connected with you personally on Facebook! Remedied now!

Hey I just found you, funny I just started a Meal Plan Monday link up 😀
I love your ideas!

Thanks Katie! I’ve been hosting Menu Plan Monday for 5 years now. Menu planning has literally changed my life so I’m passionate about getting the word out.

My son did his first VBS this month too, I was his crew leader. We did “Pandamania” and we just loved it. I like the sleuth theme though.
Thanks again for hosting the link up! I’ll have to visit you on Facebook.
Jamie says
You’ve got some great recipe links here. The only thing my kids love more than ordering pizza is when we make it ourselves…little individual pizzas that they can top however they like. Thanks for the ideas. I was in need of some fresh inspiration, especially during these crazy back to school nights.
