I’m not sure what is happening to me. Things have gotten out of hand as I get ready for my upcoming birthday in oh THREE sleeps!! In preparation for the party I’ve started the decorating process (do you love how everything is a process for me?) and well it appears I’ve been overcome with the crafting bug.
Exhibit A
Um hello? Is that a pom-pom? Seriously I don’t make stuff…I’m no craft goddess. What in the world? A pom-pom…made by moi? It can’t be! It’s absurd and oh so highly addicting all at the same time. I’m out of control! What will it be next? Hmmm, how about a banner and maybe some cupcake toppers? Have mercy, isn’t anyone going to tell me to drop the scissors so no one gets hurt? Yikes!
So while I’m off pretending I’m Martha Stewart (which is where I got the idea for the pom-poms in the first place by the way, darn Martha) I’ll leave you with the link to another telephone interview I did last week with the lovely Jackie from It’s a WAHM Life where she blogs about ways to make working from home work for you. In our call we talked, among other things, about blogging and how I’ve managed to sustain this here blog for just over five years now. Click on the pink link below.

Can’t wait to see photos of the party! I love the look of the pom-poms but have always been intimidated by them. Are they easy to make?
Laura says
Well I don’t think they were suppose to turn out quite that big but definitely easy to make. Believe me if I can do it, anyone can!! 🙂

Those pom poms look great… I bet my kiddo would LOVE to make those ~ being as she channels Fancy Nancy and all. 🙂

That pom poms is great! I just made some last week for my nursery! Hanging them today!

Loved the points made on the interview! Now for the crafting – looks beautiful but I’m a little worried about you, I think you may have gone over the edge! 😉
Laura says
Me too! I never do stuff like this…it must be because I’m turning 40! 🙂

Great pompom. I had to look twice to realize it wasn’t a real peonie, or whatever kind of flower. BTW…none of us is Martha Stewart. We can try, though! LOL
