So by now you know how much I LOVE shopping at thrift stores and finding awesome organizing solutions for really great prices. In fact, I recently blogged about it over at Organizing Your Way: Thrift Store Organizing Solutions.
While I was visiting my family in Ontario I had them take me to an awesome Value Village that isn’t far from their home. It used to be a Winners store so picture it very similarly layout to that. It’s huge and fun! It’s also the nicest one I’ve ever been to that is for sure. Anyways while there I saw so many great things that could be used around the home for organizing purposes so I grabbed my camera to take a quick video to show you. Well actually my sister took the video for me, cause she’s awesome like that!
If you’ve clicked on the You Tube button above you may have already seen this video considering it’s the only one there! 🙂 I’m planning to do videos more regularly because I love watching them when I visit other sites so why not here too. I don’t love taking them so much because I feel like such a dork BUT then I realized I am a dork so heck I’ve got nothing to lose right? 🙂
Sorry the sound quality is so bad and you can’t really hear what I’m saying. We didn’t realize the in-store music was so loud…note to self for future. I thought I’d share it with you anyways just for kicks 🙂

Have you checked out your local thrift store lately for organizing products?

I was able to hear, albeit with some difficulty at certain points. I love how excited you are and how you’re able to easily spot all sorts of organizing solutions. This definitely inspired me to stop by a thrift store, although I don’t have such a great eye for things like this. Thanks.

I miss the Value Villages in Ontario. The one in Oakville is awesome! We do have VV here in Atlanta, but it’s not as good! Great finds. 🙂

WOW! I wish we had a Value Village here!

Very cool to actually see you on video! And you are not a dork, but I understand how you feel, I did my first video a week or so ago and it felt awkward! They say it is gets easier the more you film!
I love your canadian accent! Go watch mine, you’ll get a kick out of my southern one, lol!
Yours was too quiet, mine was too dark, lol!
Change what you can, accept what you can’t

Which Value Village (or VV Boutique as my inlaws and I like to call it ;0) is this? There are a couple near me, I usually drive to one out in Oakville though, would like to find one closer?!?
Laura says
Hi Lauren, this one is in Oshawa, Ontario.

I love the video! Definitely make more. I wish I had a Value Village – the thrift stores around me are terrible!

Your enthusiasm made me smile and now I know what I’ll be doing with those old wood mug holders. It’s nice to put a voice to your smiling face!

I love going to thrift stores and that can be dangerous too! I have found better ones in cities rather than towns. Seem to have better clothes and other items. I’ve not been looking for organizing stuff there but did find a cookie jar I would like to have if it is still there! It organizes my cookies, right? :0) and would keep crumbs off my counter….hahahah! ok I’ll behave!
