Have I told you how much I hate being annoyed? Yep I do so I try not to dwell in that spot too long and instead try and figure out a solution to the problem instead. Thankfully my two little annoyances below were easily fixed with a little help from Command Brand.
Problem #1
Frames that don’t stay up against the wall. Argh, so bugs me. I have tried all that sticky putty type stuff. None of them ever worked for me and they often left a greasy residue mark on the wall once removed. Gosh did I get excited when I found out that Command Brand makes Frame Stabilizer Strips, so happy!
I had no idea these existed. Goodbye annoyance.
These suckers hold!
Problem #2
I have been a fan of the Command Picture Hanging Strips for awhile but I only thought they came in white. They work great but on my black frames the white strips really stand out. You wouldn’t notice it looking directly at the picture but from the side you definitely could.
Turns out the strips come in black too. Who knew?
I have never seen them in any of the stores around me. Command was kind enough to send me some to check out.
Before
I had a direct side view of these frames from my bed and was always annoyed that I could see the white against the black (trust me, it was more obvious than the above picture really shows…my walls are beige not white like it looks). Those white strips were taunting me.
I’m not affiliated with Command Brand in any way, they were just kind enough to send me some product that I couldn’t get in my area. I’m so in love with these products and no one has to pay me to say so 🙂

Wow, these are great! I have some pictures above the changing station in my babies room that they love to get their hands on when they’re being changed, so the pictures always end up being crooked. Thanks for sharing!

I LOVE the picture command! Here is what I did with my picture frames last October and none of the picture frames have fallen off the wall, yet. – http://sweetpeaandemma.blogspot.com/2009/05/family-photo-wall.html

I used command strips/hooks to hang everything in my kids homework space:

The poster strips are staying put holding up the rulers, amazing! I had no idea they came in black – very cool!

These are really cool, I don’t have as much of a pet peeve with frames not staying up against the wall, but it would really help with keeping pictures from becoming crooked. I think it’s really funny that you have to have a disclaimer every time you write about these command products that you are not getting paid to write about it – I have a few products that I am equally as excited about and it totally sounds like I work for them when I tell my friends about it…I can relate!

LOL…so nice to know others can relate 🙂

I have bought some of those hangers but haven’t used them yet. I am one that changes pictures often so I haven’t put any up because I don’t want to mess up the wall. I didn’t see the black but I’m going to have to go back and see if they have them. Thanks for the great post!!

That’s why I love these so much…I have commitment issues LOL

these strips would be *PERFECT* for my current project- I purchased a beautiful white vinyl wall sticker of a tree silhouette on Etsy, large enough to cover an entire wall, it is up and now I’m sorting through photographs to hang over it to create a photo wall huge “family tree”- I’ve been dreading hanging all the frames, but these Command Strips appear to be a great solution! Thanks for the opportunity!

I am definitely going to be trying out those command hooks. I bought some a while back (not even sure where they are hmm!) but I had no idea they made so many different ones! Since moving into our new house several months ago the walls are still bare, really bare! Like not ONE single thing on the walls in the whole house bare! Why? Because I have OCD and will freak out if a hole is drilled into my wall but the hole is in the wrong spot so then you have to drill another hole. Even though the hole can be repaired or covered, I still know it’s there. A little anal I think 🙁

I hate putting holes in my walls too, these are the perfect solution!!

What a timely post! We just got our new printer yesterday, and planned to spend some of this afternoon printing off photos, framing them, and decorating our big empty walls. My only problem was figuring out how to hang a bunch of small photos without pockmarking the walls. This will fit the bill perfectly!
Thank you!

I never really thought about hanging the pictures where the didn’t lean because I didn’t think there was another option!
Oh, and I used some of these hooks inside my wardrobe door to hang necklaces on!

Do you use these instead of nails and hooks? or in addition to?
Laura says
I use these instead of nails because I change my mind so frequently where I like things to go. This way I can change things around to my hearts content. Haven’t wrecked a wall yet!

I would love some command stickers for our house we are moving into this week! We are renting, so not using nail holes would be a good idea!!

I never knew they came in black, I’ve always had the same problem with the white showing, and am excited to learn that I should be able to find them in black as our frams are mostly black!
