And here I thought I had invented the Purge Party LOL! I came up with the idea as I am planning to move from an apartment I share with a friend to my own 2 bdrm condo. I have lots of great stuff, books and clothes and trinket. Just not stuff I really need anymore or care to move. Anyway, I LOVE the idea of people putting tags on the things they want and then drawing if there was more than one. I was wondering if there would be nail-baring cat fights if someone wanted the same thing. I also thought about handing out some play money and having people "bid" on what they want. Might be fun. I haven't been reading blogs in a while because I too am preparing for a move. Purging here and there. My major tackle is my craft room. I even got a friend to help me because I had a problem with purging stuff because now my kids are really into crafts. I did donate 3 big boxes of paper and punches to their school. Oh, we are not moving because of my husband's job it's the taxes here. It's killing us. We need to downsize. Problem is we need to get rid of the clutter before listing house on market. If you're paying a moving company, you can call them and ask them how much it would be to move each piece. I did this and when I figured it would be $10 to move an item or over $100 to replace, I decided to move the item. Keep that in mind when purging and replacing later.
