These are fantastic tips! My husband and I are off this whole week and we made a "to-do" list for each day. I feel so accomplished when we stay focus and actually gets things organized and done. The only other thing I is put stuff in a box (in addition to the donation box) that I can sell on ebay. I have been selling our unused stuff on ebay for about 5 years and I love the extra money we get. Great tips and I look forward to learning from you site into 2010.

I love these tips.

I organized my office for the new year and I am pretty excited about it. I wanted to move my office to an actual room but don't think the hubby is ready for it yet.

I often find myself trying to organize too much and then I am that dreaded overload...

Thanks again.

Great list!
Something that I've found to help me, is to stop being a perfectionist! Even 5mins of decluttering, or organising helps me and my family! Also, take it slow, or you burn out!

Think I might go re-read your list a few times (I need motivation for today hehe)

What great tips. I like the concept you used - i.e., make a plan. This is what I do for my weekly chores, my deep cleaning, household organization, projects I want to complete, etc. I don't set unrealistic goals, but I do get everything I want to do down on paper, and each day I assign myself small tasks that get me moving on my goals. Simply having set goals and tasks makes it so much less overwhelming!
