I used the hanging strips many times in my old condo--not sure what kind of paint I had used there. I believe it was an assortment including Behr, maybe some Glidden and even B. Moore. In my new space, I just got the room painted with Sherwin Williams a few weeks ago--the paint was new and perfect...but today I hung pictures with 3M strips. There are several areas now where the paint is chipped; the chips can't be seen behind the frames, but the walls will have to be repainted when I move. I believe the problem is the Sherwin Williams, so I won't be buying SW again.

I'm not sure that would work Jo...they are more designed to be used as hooks and not to hold things up.

I LOVE these velcro strips. My boyfriend and I hung some quite weighty wood and glass framed photos, that are like 16x24, quite large, and they've been up and on the wall for a couple months now. I thought he was nuts for thinking they would hold the weight- they are WONDERFUL! I feel like I want to spread the word on these life-savers!! I'm glad you are!

I love these hooks! I use them for everything because I tend to change my mind often about where things should go.

I will be whipping more of them out for Christmas when the stockings go up!

xx

I use these everywhere in the house. I have never had a problem with them - ABSOLUTELY LOVE THEM. Tip: Do you have photo's hanging on the wall (the conventional way) and do your children walk by, touch them, and make them hang crooked? Have no fear - just place one of these on the bottom of the frame to hold it securely to the wall - and wa la! They can't move it anymore!

Regarding the stainless steel fridge just so readers know, our stainless is magnetic. We have the kind that does not get fingerprints. I am not sure if there is a specific name for it or if it is a different make-up of materials, but it is stainless steel and is magnetic. If you are in the market for a stainless I would suggest taking a magnet with you and testing it out in the store :) Great idea for hanging on this one that is not.

Very nice! I love those things.

But don't do what we did. We had a Merry Christmas sign for outside that we couldn't locate a place for... hubster decided to put it on the front of the house... with those hooks. They sure stay put all right, even with all the weather! 6 years later and those puppies are not coming off! Grrr.
