Same challenge here – just have to keep telling myself that winners take imperfect actions and that I waste much to much time trying to be perfect when all that I really need to do is get the job done.

Yes! And just like Elizabeth, you’d never know. But when I “do something”, it is done WELL!! Which leaves not enough time for everthing else….Through prayer and petition, I’m working on it. :)

Yes! But you’d have a hard time understanding that if you looked at my messie house. Sandra Felton’s books have helped me understand that; I’d rather not do something at all if I can’t do it perfectly. So I wait. Not good.

I love something Anne Lamott wrote in “Bird by Bird”: “Perfectionism is the voice of the oppressor, the enemy of the people.”

Oh boy, I struggle with that constantly. Sometimes I think I get on my hubby’s nerves the way everything has to be JUST SO. I’ve always been a perfectionist. I can’t help it! ;)

I do suffer from perfectionism! Over the past few years since all our children(5) have grown and moved out things aren’t as important then what they use to be.And besides my Dr. told me they have medication for that and I told him then just what would I do with all my extra time?
