Hi, just a side note, I found a new toothpaste for my daughter at BabiesRUs that was flouride free and come to find out it is also wheat and gluten free. The brand is JASON. Just an FYI...I know you are talking about food but thought I'd mention it. :)

Robin as often as possible I try to make one meal by substituting the flour blend where I can. However due to the number of allergens he has I can't do this with every meal so on those days he gets a modified version of whatever it is we are having. For instance if we are having a chicken dish dredged in bread crumbs and cheese, I'll just serve his chicken plain and lightly seasoned (which he prefers anyway).

We do all gluten and dairy free also (that is what my blog is about angelaskitchen.com ). I agree, there is such a great group of gluten free blogs out there. They are all so supportive. You don't have to start alone now, thank goodness.

Thank you for sharing your resources to help others get connected.

After 3 1/2 years of stomach aches and numerous doctor visits, we tried our daughter on a gluten free/MSG free diet, and she hasn't had a stomach ache since! She was tested for gluten/celiac problems years ago, and tests were negative. It's been a challenge to figure out meals, so I can't wait to make your flour blend! Do you make one meal every night, or two? I'm still lost and confused, and trying to find my way. Thanks so much for the information you posted - it came just in time for me! I had found glutenfreemommy, and it's one of my faves - thanks again!!

Laura and all other gluten free moms,
Good news! Betty Crocker just launched a line of gluten free mixes. They have the following gluten free mixes:
chocolate brownie
chocolate chip cookies
chocolate cake
vanilla cake.
Their website has al sorts of recipes that use their new mixes. You might have to ask your grocer for them since they are new

Yes I do find people think we over react sometimes in the precautions we take. Many people who aren't familiar with us just don't get it. Education is still a huge thing isn't it.
