What do SuperWoman and Green Smoothies have in common?

They are both posts I’ve written over at The Juice this week.  Earlier in the week I discussed the superwoman myth that so many of us fall for and listed some steps that can be taken to avoid falling for this crazy trap in the future.

On a lighter note, I also got to share another passion of mine…green smoothies!  Yum, I’m absolutely crazy for them.

I work, sleep, nuture my marriage, and parent all in the same place- MY HOME! Therefore balance is important. My marriage is #1 and the age ol’ rule of “dating your husband (partner,etc.)” Date night is once a week no MATTER WHAT!!! It refreshes me. Girls Night Out is also a must at least once a month!

I work outside the house 3 days a week (T-Th). My husband works swing shift. So on Fridays we eat lunch out, usually at Subway cuz we really like it. We get time spent together that’s not too hurried. On Mondays I usually make a couple meals ahead for the week. I get home late enough that I’m hungry and don’t want to spend alot of time cooking. If my (adult) daughter isn’t working, she usually prepares the meal, that’s partially ready. Since we are cookie eaters, I double the batch of cookies and freeze them. If I make cookies that make alot when I double, then I give some away to my son and his wife, or a widowed friend with 5 children. Take care.
