A couple of weeks ago you might remember I posted the link to my Grocery List Template. Shortly after that, Nicole one of my very nice readers (she doesn’t blog so I can’t link to her), sent me an email that said she had converted that grocery list into a grocery list envelope. She put the grocery list categories on one side of an envelope with check boxes on the other side to remind you of the items you need to bring to the store with you. Any coupons and/or cash you want to bring with you can then be conveniently stored in the envelope. How cool is that! I absolutely loved her idea so much that I asked if I could please share it with all of you and she said yes!
To print all you have to do is open the document in Word (clicking on the Grocery List Envelope link below will take you where you need to go to do that) and then print the category page on one side of a business size envelope. Then turn the envelope over and print the second page on the side of the envelope with the flap. Done! If you have any questions, please just let me know.
Thanks Nicole, this really is brilliant!!

This is Awesome, however, I have always used the return envelopes in junk mail to write my grocery list on and then load all the coupons I plan to use inside the envelope. I think now, to be able to continue recycling these envelopes, I’ll just print the Envelope Grocery List 3 times on one page and just tape, staple, or glue it to the envelope. Great way to have my list more organized.

Excellent idea! Dave Ramsey would SO approve [well if you put cash in it or used a debit card!]

Great idea. I just tried to do it, tho and it wouldn’t print for me. I don’t know what I am doing wrong. It prints, but either a half an envelope of pure black or something from the website, not the list.
HELP!! 🙂
Char says
DUH…..I didn’t realize you couldn’t print from the website. Sorry 🙁 You have to download it first. That’s what I get for reading mail at 5:30am… 🙂

Another idea is that I keep all of my loyalty cards on a small key ring. You could punch a hole and loop it onto the envelope.

This is awesome. Thank you so much for sharing this. I used to put my list on an envelope and put my coupons inside but each week I would draw my graph and try to sort things by aisle which never really worked as I buy the same stuff weekly. I’m going to use one for my next shopping trip and see how it goes.
