OH MY WORD ! Laura that picture reminds me of the one from last year! Didn’t you stand on top of it last year?

That is SOOO gorgeous (you know how I love the cold)

It’s just starting to get cold here now and I’m loving every moment.

This morning as I drove to work there was a rain storm (rain is out of season for Jhb winters) but hey, bring on the cold!!!!

    Love

Yikes! I have been moaning and groaning because it’s still hovering in the freezing temperature range, but we don’t have 90 feet of snow *L*

I can’t believe that! It was 80 here yesterday! It’s so hard to believe that there could be snow anywhere when you’re outside sweating LOL. You are welcome down here any time my friend. Guaranteed no snow!
    Hugs.

I complain about our snow all the time (we get about 85 inches/season). I see I have nothing to complain about. Looks like you get about 85 inches/day. Hope you all thaw out soon:)

    Ewww. *shudder*

Yuck! It’s 20 degrees here but at least there is no snow (knock on wood) and the sun is out.

At least we KNOW it has to be getting warmer SOON!

Wow, way to make me feel guilty for whining that it’s only in the 40s here today! You win!

Someone forgot to notify Mother Nature of the date on the calendar!

That stinks! ….but try to remember it, when it is 99 with 90% humidity down here in the south! ;) I bet you don’t even have air conditioning, right?

That is no fun. I live in Southern Utah (5 mins from the AZ border) and it was 75-80 degrees yesterday. Our spring has practically already come and gone. We almost just skip spring here. THAT is no fun. I miss it already.

We had snow this year for a few hours. Then, a few days later it was 80. We also don’t have spring here. Three seasons: Hurricane, Tornado and Summer.

Oh WOW. I’m in Florida. I spread weed-n-feed on my lawn about a month ago, and I was just noticing this week how gorgeous and lush and green it’s looking now. It’s easy to forget that there are places still blanketed in snow! (I block it out, actually. I lived in Chicago for my first 16 years). I don’t envy you!

*sigh* we’re supposed to get more snow tonight so I know how you feel – it’s definitely not spring here yet either.

There is just something wrong about snow on the 1st day off spring! Hope you see flowers soon

  15. Posted March 20, 2009 at 8:06 am | Permalink

Mother Nature teased us a bit this week with days up to 15 degrees C. Now we are back closer to 0 C (that is 32 degrees F for you Americans).

Keep the faith Laura, spring will come!

Yeah your front lawn is worse than mine…now I feel better!! Hope to see you soon!!

Oh wow. I always used to complain about the snow growing up but we never had anything like that! I hope you thaw out soon!

  18. Posted March 20, 2009 at 9:12 am | Permalink

You guys are the best! Thanks for the sympathy, somehow that makes me feel so much better :) The snow is really coming down today and it is just so wrong for it to be snowing on the first day of spring…sigh. What I wouldn’t give to be in Hawaii right about now :)

Thank God we have no snow this year. I remember last year it being like that though.

So sorry! You’re welcome to come visit San Diego!

  21. Posted March 20, 2009 at 12:00 pm | Permalink

I’m sending warm thoughts your way! At least the snow is pretty and white and not all dirty and gross… so it’s sort of a pretty spring day :)

Looks like MY yard. Except that our driveway and street are still snowy, too.

We NEVER get that much snow!

Spring has sprung in my garden here in N Ireland – pics on my blog yesterday.

I’m in a similar position. Add to that the temps: 0* this morning at 6am and currently -2* at 8am.

Spring, Oh spring, it’s time to wake up now!!

This, my friend, is NOT good. What can we do to help you? Send chocolate, I suppose.

Honestly, that is a depressing picture!! So sorry you don’t have grass yet.

  27. Posted March 22, 2009 at 7:02 pm | Permalink

    Oh m-ah good-ness! I don’t think I could handle that!

Yes it is spring and my front lawn looks very much like yours. It is snowing so much I can barely see the house next door.
