I did it! Better late than never! Are you going to give us ideas for organizing the recipes? I have hundreds of them...on paper, newspaper clipping, recipe cards, etc. All of mine are in a couple of unorganized notebooks, sticking out of cookbooks, and in two huge file folders. Help!

Ronni Walsh:What a great idea; wished I had done that with my kids stuff. They are 42 and 39 now, but should do that with some of the stuff the grandchildren have given to us.
I am just fascinated by the inspiration and useful tips on this website. You browse on one link, and it leads you into another's link and you find more great information. I'm so glad I found this website. Still trying to figure how some of the features though, what's this $5 dinner?

I failed this month. Yesterday my MIL and I were moving the office to another part of the house and I found more papers I needed to file. But I did start a filing system... and I am thankful for this challenge to get me this far. THANKS!!

I love your site. I am enjoying your tips and the comments. I have a filing tip I would like to share. I have 4 school aged children. I purchase accordian files (mine are plastic) with 15 or more slots. I put my childrens school stuff beginning with pre-school in the accordian file. It holds report cards, cetificates, notes, special cards or art work, yearly school picture, other pictures taken during that year/grade. At the end of high school you will have a completed accordian file. You can use the file if you're a scapbooker(like me)to keep all the things in one neat chronological order. Makes a great keepsake and can oneday, if you choose, be given to your child so that they can take a walk down memory lane. Good luck with your filing challenge. I am looking forward to the recipe challenge, perhaps I will find a new and better way to organize my recipes.

I'm so bummed! I'm behind in reading blogs & missed this month's roundup. I still want to do it, but will miss out on posting pics. I have 4 file cabinets in 3 rooms, and one is brand new - waiting to be filled. I've got BOXES of paper that need to be filed in the file cabinets. I would have loved to have joined in, but you have given me the inspiration to get 'er done! It helps that I've got to do it for tax time, too. Thanks!

I'm working on my "weeding out" project this morning, and I came up with an idea that I'd like to pass along. Found a wooden file box, like one could use for a recipe box. In it, it had the cardboard index cards that I had purchased a few years ago. I had bought the index cards for the months of the year and the numeric cards that could be used for the days of the month. Index cards are cheap, one could divide a pack among each of the 12 months, and each day when you tackle some projects, write it down on the index card and file it under the date(#)and month. At the end of this challenge, you can summarize your accomplishments and see how far you have come! Hope this makes sense to you!
