Link~Tastic – The Laundry Room Edition!

Let’s just start this post with a little apology shall we?  I’m sorry!  Here we are gathered together to organize our laundry rooms and I up and gallivant across the country and leave you completely high and dry like that.  Totally dropped the ball on that one, I did.

My friends, I know I haven’t given you much to go on in terms of inspiration and all but let me make it up to you here with some completely awesome laundry room links.  And for motivation, because seriously I know it’s Thanksgiving and who’s really going to want to be organizing their laundry rooms anyway, let me remind you about the SUPER prize that is attached to getting your butts in gear and getting the laundry off the floor :)

The uber talented Aby of Creative Organizing has offered up a coveted spot in one of her most fabulous organizing workshops, Organizing 101.  I’m not kidding when I say if you are in the depths of organizing despair then you most definitely want to win this prize.  Go on over and read all about this amazing course and then just try and tell me you don’t see a light at the end of the tunnel after reading the hope you find there.  Woohoo!  All you have to do to win?  Just organize a space in your laundry room this month and/or a space in your living room next month and then cross your fingers and say a prayer that your name will come up on the random.org shuffle.  You can SO do this!

Can you tell I’m a little pumped up right now?  Just finished watching the season finale of Dancing with the Stars.  Gosh I love that show, so sad to see it over.  Oops, so way off topic…focus Laura…focus.

Our “before” pictures actually look better than our “right now” pictures due to the sewer replacement but I’m ready to take a deep breath and put it back together better than it was before. Thanks for the inspiration…we’re all busy! I appreciate you waiting for me to be ready! :-)

Happy Thanksgiving! Mine is pretty organized, but there are a few things I can do to be more efficient. In fact, I’ve already started with a good cleaning!

My laundry room/utility room needs help – hopefully this will inspire me into action.

I wish I had a laundry room to organize. I have a dirt floor basement where my washer and dryer are until we are able to start on our addition. Ugh! Can’t wait to do laundry in a clean, dry, well-lit room.

OT: Saw your tweet about needing a Wordpress VA. I’m not an expert but I do use WP for my 4 blogs and I’m a VA. Maybe I can help. :-)

My husband made me a riser for my washer and dryer. He made it high enough to put baskets under them. I keep laundry to do in the one under the washer and the one under the dryer is for the clothes coming out of the dryer. It works great. You can see it here http://southernseven.blogspot.com/2008/02/moving-mountain-of-laundry.html

Any suggestions on organizing a laundry area in the garage. I’m super limited on space, but still need to be very functional. I have a stackable washer and dryer which makes it even harder!
