in Containerizing

This morning I was still recovering from my week at camp when I dragged my sorry butt to the grocery store. I was a sad sight all tired and gloomy shuffling along, so pathetic really. Then out of the corner of my eye I caught a glimpse of something great. I did a double take thinking it was a mirage messing with my cranky mind. Nope it was still there, I could see it plain as day. I felt a smile slowly start to tug at the corners of my mouth before breaking into one of the biggest grins you ever did see. There is only ONE thing that can bring the twinkle back to my eye in 2.2 seconds flat. Can you guess what it might be?

Oh ya baby, a new display of containers!

Meet the newest members of my collection. Finding these beauties in the grocery store totally brightened my entire day :)

When I first saw the display I was surprised because I haven’t seen these bins around my neck of the woods in quite some time and I’ve been wanting more for awhile now. There wasn’t a price sign near them so I grabbed two. When the cashier was ringing them up she told me they were only a $1.00 each so I charged quickly went back and grabbed four more. I love them for storing my CD’s and DVD’s. Some of you will remember that I use them to organize the CD’s in my van.

Of course they don’t have to be used for CD’s. I’m sure I’ll end up using them for all sorts of things. That’s the beauty of containers, the possibilities are endless.

So let me ask you this. What one thing (product) can quickly cheer you up on a gloomy day?

ANY kind of bin/container/storage box makes me happy! I have some of those in my van too- although at the moment they are NOT as neat and organized as yours! :)

Any organzing tool under $5 makes my day! $5 is basically my cut off for price unless it’s completely fabulous.

I am a big fan of all sorts of organizing containers, but I especially love those that have drawers…large ones, medium ones, small ones, tiny ones! They’re just too much fun!

Grat use for those containers. I guess they’re back out there since school and college will start soon.

I wish I could find some like that for $1! Great find! My favorite organizing find that just makes me so cheerful are pretty boxes with lids covered with cool-looking paper, in all different shapes. You know what I’m talking about, right? They make a visual statement like a decoration, but you can hide clutter inside them!

My Mother used crates like those for our toys and books as a kid.

The one thing that makes me smile is a whole bunch of new office supplies. I’m wierd, I know.

My favorite product is my vacumm. Funny as it sounds but first once you buy it it costs nothing but yet it cleans any mess that you have. You can not organize if things are not clean right?

Am I the only one that goes through a drawer especially in the kitchen utensil one and I see crumbs, and things in those drawers?

Vacumm…Vacumm…Vacumm…
Did I even spell this right?

Do purses count as an organizing product? ‘Cause those make me real happy! :v)

Hmmmm … I have a hard time imagining crates bringing joy back into my life. But a clutter-free car makes my day! Unfortunately, I have to work a little to get that high.

Containers.
And notebooks.
And office supplies.
And journals.

Anything that has POSSIBILITIES! I love blank slates.

I Loooove labels! But they don’t make me smile near as much as any type of candy that I haven’t seen (or eaten) in years. For example: Razzles, Big League Chew, Fundips, Zots and many more!

The one item that makes me most happy and has nothing to do with organization are SLIPPERS! Oh my, they make me smile big time but I also like new notebooks, journals and calendars too.

i’d say chocolate, but this is an organizing site so i have to go with cute boxes like photo type boxes. i cram tons of clutter in them and still have everything handy without being…well, cluttered! =)
i was wondering what the mesh thing is that’s holding everything in place there between the seats. it looks like a great idea since everything i put there in my van ends up under my brake pedal…probably not a good idea! =/

I sure would be happy if I could find a stainless steel bin to use in my shower for organizing. I want to be able to remove everthing out of the shower in one quick grab for when we have company since we only have one bathroom.

I saw a lot of similar containers at the dollar stores yesterday. I was on the hunt for something else, but couldn’t resist a few containers too. I got some cute little ones in a pack of 3 at Dollar General that will be great for drawers.

Laura, I thought of you last weekend while I was on a Moms getaway with a friend. We visited Dollar Tree, and oh the containers! I refrained from buying any, but may be regretting that decision after seeing how lovely yours are.

Thank goodness there’s that new Dollar Tree in my town…

I LOVE clear, over-the-door shoe organizers-but I have yet to use them for shoes! My daughters each have one hanging on the back of their bedroom doors to serve as a home to all their small stuffed animals. Not having stuffed animals all over the place REALLY makes me smile!!

I have to say a great pack of colorful pens in fine point can make my WEEK! I am such a pen whore – I cannot even go to the grocery store without walking down the pen aisle….it’s a sickness, I know….

Hi ladies! I am so consumed with “trying” to get my place organized & I have gotten hooked on trying to find containers ~ THANKS, but anyway, since it’s back to school time, you can find these miniature crates at Dollar Tree (I guess for locker organization). I tried to get one for the teen I’m mentoring, but she asked me why I was trying the “Pimp her Locker” LOL like the show “Pimp My Ride” on MTV! Thanks for sharing this with us!

I love those *very* containers! I actually need some more, because, the hubs and kids have made off with all of mine!

Seeing a site like that would’ve cheered me up, too! The kids get so upset with me – we can be in a store, and I’ll get ‘lost’ on the “bucket aisle” foreeeeeever!! Hahaha!

“No, Mom, no! We are not looking at buckets today!!!”

LMAO!! It’s an illness, what can I say?

Just had to share – I found some of those at my local Wal-Mart (Columbia, MD). I can’t find the receipt, but hey, it’s Wal-Mart, it’s gotta be cheap, right??

I am trying to organize my son’s playroom and I found these great faux canvas storage drawers in sage green at the Dollar Tree! Like an idiot I only bought 3 and need about 7 more, but I can’t seem to find them again! Does anyone know where else to find them?!
